could you do euro trips in a 600 do you think?
If you ship you clothes to the hotel in advance yes, or go with a mate in a Porsche who can take your bag for you :-)
The Mclaren can comfortably take a helmet bag and a decent amount of luggage. Unlike you it seens, most people driving this type of car I reckon won't need extra baggage space for loads of clothes as they aren't fronting fashion event or preparing for a drag queen competition.
:-) my GT3 Cs is hardly an xc90 when it comes to luggage space. (scaffolding and fixed buckets didn't help)
i more meant in terms of comfort / ride, the Porsche was astonishingly comfortable on the boring bits then amazing on the twisty stuff

Yes absolutely, i used to do Marbella a few times in a 12C, and 650s. The only extra you need is a defibrillator when it comes to sell and you get told the buy back price if you can get one that is. Lol

I like to take my other half and she likes to take 6 pairs of shoes !!! (yes I like to take 4 pairs)

Porsche make great tourers esp my GT4 did.

It's the main reason I have not had a R8 V10 plus, I like to take more than a tooth brush.

which is why they have filled the GT gap with guess what, yes a GT model ;-) with 570L over the 600lt 150l of storage space.

if you like to smell, have no GF and only want to carry a helmet and toothbrush yes the 600lt would work ok I guess.

Can't you just deflate her when you leave and pump her up when you arrive loads of space then.

Yes the Mclaren is very good in terms of ride comfort/long distance cruising. Probably better than the Porsche tbh.

There is less space in a mid engine car obviously as even with scaffolding you can dump soft bags in the rear of the 911 but the boot is sizable and as I said, unless one needs to being all the kit for a drag queen contest (which I guess applies to most but not one here), luggage space isn't much of an issue...

So a 2 year old 600lt might not be a bad call at £150k ? Especially a spider.

Hmmmm. That's a bit of a loaded question. I'm out of mclaren ownership now and for a variety of reasons will not consider going back for the foreseeable future tbh so I couldn't in all honesty tell you 'yes' to the above.

But fwiw the cars do as a whole drive very very well. The 675 (and I presume the 600 as I've not driven one but it's supposed to be similar and probably more 'natural' given the non hydraulic suspension) is brilliant and comparable imo with any modern 9X1 GT car. However, you do need to decide if you can live with the other issues that come with Mclaren ownership, of which some are hugely overblown but by no means all. it's quite a subjective issue and tbh only you can decide that for yourself.

They are already at an ask of C- 50k behind list for under 500 Mile cars. No need to wait 2 years, just give it until after the summer find the spec you want and just bid Em 150k

Can you imagine what it must be like paying like close to 280k for a good spec 720s, this time last year, doing like 6-9k Miles and ringing round trying to get a bid/offer on the car right now.
Spoke to a DP recently who claimed that trying to do a deal with a Macca owner is nigh on impossible because very few people in the trade are prepared to even bid on them. Plus I have met a 720S owner who claimed that the suspension on his new 720S had collapsed. These are sad times for Macca owners.
Collapsed under the burden of the residual, sounds like a good time to reject it!!!

Exactly. Last trip to the 'Ring our friends with coped perfectly well in their 650. Sufficient room for his & hers luggage.

I did suggest he should reject it; his reply was that he was going to give the dealership one last go at solving the cars problems, then if more were to occur the agreement that he had reached was for the car to be rejected.
