I specced my 3RS a few weeks ago and have already been told delivery will be sometime in Autumn. Fine by me though, gives me longer to explain it to the boss.
Same situation as me exactly which also suits me fine..Gives me time to buy more Lottery tickets..
So can you still change the spec guys,I would suggest so?

Why have you sold a .2 GT3RS already, wouldn't it have made sense to keep it until the new one arrived especially as its such a great car and you appear to like it? If I had a .2 RS it wouldn't be going anywhere until I could touch its replacement!

I'd be glued to it pardon the pun
I also have a GT2 RS which I can now put the miles she deserves on!

The Speedster is on the UK configurator with a GPF in the technical specification.

They were keen for me to spec with them as soon as poss so I did and made a couple of tweaks shortly after. I've not asked since, doesn't make any difference to me.

I'm presuming I got a 3RS because the real big shots have all got Speedsters tongue out

Absolutely correct and not too long ago nothing was confirmed,as some have said on here they have until July to lock a specreadit and it would still appear that there is more time to go before specs are locked!!! So I was right, tank you thumbup they might have had the Nod and might have submitted a spec but it was no more than that!

As far as I am concerned, specs are locked, I signed the purchase order. A month ago I had specced a car and paid the deposit.

You must be in the good books and in the big shots group of your OPC! Although perhaps, like all of us who are blessed to have a 3 RS but not the Speedster... not at the top! But allocation of of Speedster seem 1-2 when each batch of 3 RS seem 3-5 and GT2 RS was initially 2-3 from what I understood. And there is often a gap between what one understand and what one knows.

As much as i'd like the Speedster its realistically more than i can afford..It'll cost as much as my 991.2GT3 and 981 Spyder did put together without ticking a single box..I think Porsche have bumped up the price deliberately to quell flipping..

Agreed! I was wondering if they did it so the 12m flipping is not worth it as the potential capital gain is in the purchase price. And i believe not so many would sell almost concomitantly to delivery as, yes it’d be big bucks but you might have alienated your chances of a next special P car. So it might be clever and regulate a bit production; long term prices stability (although should it matter: pinnacle P cars should be driven). Just one theory among many... like all our speculation on this GPF on next batch! But whatever it is... I am going to love this 3 RS!

It will be interesting to see whether the first cars make it onto the road in July or later in September

Buying several pieces of new pork on tick won't get you to the table for the proper halo cars. Proclaimed 'Big Player' or not, times have changed and probably for the better. Porsche are pumping these out now. Hope you enjoy the car.

PUMPING them out, where? Only circa 3 RS’s per dealer and maybe 1 or 2 Speedsters. The last Speedsters being delivered circa 2010/2011 and the last small batch of .2GT3RS being delivered approx a year ago now and the next ones still not due until Sept/Oct 2019

What would you say Mclaren are doing then if you think Porsche are pumping them out, they must be Stacking,Piling,Bumping, and Dumping!!!

I put my initial deposit in for a GT3/RS in 2015 and am still trying to secure a winning lottery ticket for allocation, please direct me to this mountain of accessible cars!

Here’s a private seller not even a dealer and he’s asking £185k for a Touring, that’s still circa £50k over list, hardly a sign of over supply yikes

Nice car though and the chrome trim and silver wheels make it look quite classy IMO,if your going to have a touring then good to be different!!!

AFAIK OPC’s aren’t supposed to take deposits on cars they don’t have allocations for. Thought that was as a result of some legal issues some OPC’s had with that ? Remember this being widely discussed when 991.2 GT3 allocations came through. In my case I’d put my name down/expressed an interest in one but wasn’t asked for a deposit until a month after the car was launched when I was told I’d be getting a 2018 car. Was asked for a £10k deposit at that point.

Currently had my name down door a Taycan for over a year....not been asked for a deposit. Granted it’s not a GT car but even so would be very easy to ask for a deposit....

Four years of holding a deposit is taking the piss....

To be fair my decision to leave it there from back in the day when deposits were taken as then I wasn't even a Fish to the dealer let alone a BIG FISH.

I’ve bought a few used ones to tide me over and left the deposit to show my commitment to getting a new car, hopefully, eventually typephoneshout

My OPC are too professional to take a deposit on a car unless they could 100% guarantee an allocation..I was only asked to place my RS deposit when i had a confirmed allocation..

Like I said from back in the days when all dealers did it,‘‘twas standard practice then. It’s nothing to do with being too professional,I could take it back anytime but have always let it ride!

I’m sure your dealer was also doing back then as well !

I have been offered a new GT3.2 RS with W/Pack UK (C16) spec by a private owner, when it arrives in July with only delivery mileage on it. It is to a high spec, so what is it worth ??
