As far as I am aware but there was so much going on I can’t actually remember! The NACA Ducts are also wrapped in the same material as all the other plastics and I can’t see any edges so guess they came out

The work you've had done does look good. I'm looking at getting some parts dipped in Carbon and I've been told the NACA ducts won't come out and they're too scared to try lol
Seem to remember seeing parts dipped in carbon on Wheeler Dealers a while back, could be interesting.

I had lots of parts dipped on my GTR,it’s ok for internal parts but not very hard wearing externally.I would say you would need to PPF external dipped parts. Also the dip follows curved shapes so looks distorted

I've been considering having some of the Black plastic parts dipped however i now think i'll get a shop to wrap them in an OEM matching Carbon fiber.

Let me know if you find a matching wrap Taffy,I couldn’t get anything that I was happy with.

That dip looks a good job

There again I just blew the photo of the dip up and you can see the curve in the weave

I'm on the look out for one..On second thoughts the pic above of the Carbon dip looks great so i might reconsider. The NACA are OK as they are as even on the GT2 RS these are left in black plastic..The rear engine cover, front fender vets and rear air intakes in Carbon would look awesome..

Agreed. The weave is not meant to be perfectly straight thought... I checked on a 2RS. IMO, the costs far out weight the difference when you see the car as a whole. I'll post some pictures when its all done and put back together...

Yes I fully agree that the cost factor of dipping is a no brainer against buying carbon panels

Plastic crap should not be on the car full stop, for the cost at production why o why did they do it.
If there was enough interest, there is a top carbon guy in hereford who does work and one offs for a good friend at concept racing.
10 sets would make it viable compared to companies already selling the parts in carbon.,just need some pattern parts to borrow!
That dipping looks ok,even if it is distorted a little.

And once replaced in carbon we will be 1 second a lap quicker as well as looking good biggrin

I guess the GT2 RS has all the carbon and cost a lot more money.

In my view there’s absolutely no way I would have any part carbon dipped, looks 100% Halfords!

A bit like someone wearing a fake Sub, they want everyone to think it’s real but they know it’s actually not.

Dipped plastic parts on a c£180k car... come on!

Each to their own though, just not for me.

Lol, I don't shop at Halfords so I wouldn't know. I guess it'll help to see the finished result first. Fingers crossed
