I know it’s not an ST , but I posted a little on the thread earlier about tyre choice and suspension advice on my 2.7 RS rep - here it is after final sesssion at Centre Gravity , sitting on Avon CR6ZZ’s - ride is now a tiny bit firmer than I’d like so will tweak a little more , but very nearly there - really loving the car, all the work has made such a difference smile

Leave it alone, it’s supposed to feel like that R smile
Trouble is the bumps crease my Martini racing jacket and mess with my Porsche baseball cap - it’s an issue ; worse still yesterday I spilled my latte ! frown
Don’t get sucked in...counting on you staying true biggrin

What do we think of these if prices start to converge? Probably a bit early but might be the way things start going in 5+ years or so. Think they are asking 200k.

They must emit a strange noise I guess.

Would rather have that Rennsport car in the auction or a Tuthill. Singer of course number 1 but would be a lottery win car for me!

If that's the same Rennsport car that's been up for sale for the last year or so then I'd beware. I walked away after having it inspected, the report was not very complimentary.

Good luck to them, I just don’t really see a future for that. Part of the joy of driving these older cars is the character, quirkiness and aural experience. I think the market for someone that wants a pretty sterile experience in a classic 911 shape is extremely limited. Sure it’ll be the only way way you can drive an old 911 in cities within ten years but that’s a really limited market.

So glad I moved out of London four years ago !

Thats surprising results,my mates car is really good.I know they have had a change of staff over the years ,but they did have a couple of top guys working there, one who has now set up on his own in florida.

Utterly pointless imo. Totally defeats the object of what a classic is all about.

I won’t go into too much detail on here, but the car produced for my friend was so bad, another well respected Indy would not even put it up for sale after an inspection. ...

Just to pick up on Tuthill and Singer point - and not that you said this but to pose a question generally: is there anybody who would rather buy a Singer or a Tuthill car?

Tuthill generally builds off older shells not 964 and bases engines on 3.0 or 3.2 again not 964. And then I’ve not heard anybody say a bad word about their expertise with exc-tc. The cars benefit also from all the development over the years with rally, shells are stiff, you name it. Singer certainly lovely cosmetically.

No right or wrong answer to this I guess but just interested in the discussion.

Money no object Singer I think but you could probably get two Tuthill’s for the price of a Singer. I’d love to buy a Tuthill. Thinking about doing the Tuthill Ice Driving as well. Think that might be a good way to get to know their cars as much as well.
