Remember it all to well mate, going backwards whilst tightening my belts!
I was only in the car with him the other day and reminded him of the last two times i had been in a car with him,the second was when he had just purchased the gt2r off me,and spun it under bridge while trying to teach him to respect the power delivery And stay off the curbs
Good parking then slippy,i think if you dont have a moment you aint been trying,my worst was a crappy 4 wheel drive 911 that would not turn in.

Magnificent machines, had mine from around 2003-2005, M003.
From memory had around 30k klms when I bought it for £32k, sold it to a good friend and highly regarded Porsche specialist the day before we all went to the 'ring for a modest profit, where he managed to back it into the barriers at Bergwerk with Yellow in the passenger seat and me following him
I remember Yellow telling us how he pulled the shoulder belts tight before the impact. We beat the rear 1/4 out and straightened the exhaust in the car park and Mr no name carried on.
Happy days

They're tough old barges JC !! I managed a similar high speed off road parking incident in the wilds of Wales, the damage was "significant" as in £25K's worth to car that was then worth £32K ... think, the bonnet wouldn't close because the frunk floor had been pushed up so far ...
I drove it back home to N. Wales (after it had been winched out of its "parking space") and then once I'd agreed terms with the insurer, I drove it from N.Wales down to Rye to be repaired !!
Funny how most had an "incident" or two in our 64 RS , but now they are all " matching numbers " , "first Paint " , collectors spec ...... mine also run on slicks , which worked well I drove it back home to N. Wales (after it had been winched out of its "parking space") and then once I'd agreed terms with the insurer, I drove it from N.Wales down to Rye to be repaired !!

My 'old' one was written of in a spectacular fashion at Spa a few years later. I had a call from a German chap around 2012 saying he had bought the car from John Hawkins and it was original panel and never damaged, had to break the news to him.

Herr Schmitz's words all those years ago, turned out to be very prophetic indeed As the saying go's 'there are no virgin's in the bordello' especially the one in Adenau

So many dodgy cars around. There’s apparently a court case going on in Germany at the moment re faking of 20 major historic Porsche’s, There’s a 73 RS Lightweight for sale at the moment which is apparently one of three cars with the same chassis number and is for sale for about a 1/3 of what someone paid for it. The german case is reputed to be more 100 million!according to records and the dreaded Porsche coa, there are reputedly at least double the amount of 2,7 Around.
Now laser welding engine numbers, matching numbers means little now with out Unquestionably 100% solid proof.

A mere 300k for the 54k km car and Eur 380k for the 30k km car. He puts prices on Mobile.de. Absolutely ludicrous premium for a paint colour but you only need one obsessive collector.

The 20k mile midnight blue LHD RS thats been in PH classifieds forever doesn't seem so dear any more. I think TS will have them for a while at that sort of money. Still do not seem massively expensive considering how few good ones are left.
He has a Signal Green NGT which was up for similar money in the middle of the year sold relatively quickly but some of his cars seems to sit there for a verrrry looooong time. Interesting sales approach at TJS; this car was up for sale for at least 18 months before I bought my Ferrari Yellow 964 RS in October 2019. At the time he wanted 300k € for it and wouldn’t budge - not a penny (cent). It’s still there today - so, that’s over 2.5 years - but now he wants €326 k - just imagine how much it’ll be in another year
