My plans for a basic spec went to pot when I saw the lockdown coming. With Porsche stopping production it started to look like Q4 delivery (earliest I was thinking) instead of April/May so I took one of the showroom cars instead with a load of spec I wasn't planning on. Collected the afternoon just before the order to stay at home came. I've now done a whole 15 miles in it! Very pleased with it, having more spec is no bad thing I guess.

I know you didn't spec it, but I wonder what it would cost to swap window trims for black high gloss and paint the wheel spokes black, would make it look even better IMHO. Not normally a red car man but that carmine does look great

Love Carmine red, it looks even better in real life. The most cost effective solution to change the bright silver trims to black is to have them wrapped. That is of course if you want black and not silver....

Really pleased I ended up with Carmine, it really suits the car. I wouldn't have ordered the bright window surrounds but they are growing on me and I have spent a lot of time staring at it seen as I can't drive it much.

i’ve seen several posts on various threads stating deals to be done on 992s.

Can anyone advise, does this tend to be on new orders or cars ordered by OPCs for stock?

The latter tend to be specd much more richly than my requirements so even a higher level of discount is not that attractive.

For reference i’ve been offered 2% off a new build base 992, anyone done better?

cheers

Iknownothin. Thats a terrific looking porsche.those wheels are sexy.

Strangely i saw a 20 plate 992 in guards tonight on my little walk in north kent. Gave him a thumbs up and he booted it.

That is interesting considering the dealers are closed. My dealer hasn’t been able to receive any stock for almost two weeks. My car is stuck at Sheerness and it will be interesting to see what happens when it’s released as I am yet to agree any financing.
