Not too long ago you couldn't buy one of these for less than 100k. There are now several about lower than £90k and this one seems exceptional value. Especially when the 997 Turbo S is similar money.

Off topic, but ...jeez....what an awfully prepared car for sale....look at the state of those exhaust pipes!!! Let alone the steering wheel still having the previous owners skin and sweat all over it!Not too long ago you couldn't buy one of these for less than 100k. When I see crap preps like this...I start to wonder what else they may have missed under the skin.

They sometimes get pics up before they are prepped for sale, if they get prepped and warranted then don't sell for so many weeks they have to do the checks again. Could be on SOR in which case they wont plié time into the car until it sell. When I see crap preps like this...I start to wonder what else they may have missed under the skin.
Ive not had a S/H car out of an OPC that hasn’t been presented in as new condition.
You could argue the Turbo is losing a bit of its lustre. How many people really need a Turbo S over a Carrera 4 GTS now? With the whole range being turbocharged and the performance on offer from more humble 911’s it’s got less differentiation that it had and that outright performance advantage is almost irrelevant on the public road.

Agree.I think the new 992 C2S and C4S could easily be called turbos in terms of the experience they give. Such a good package full fat turbo redundant or even the GTS which will be due at some stage no doubt with circa 500bhp. PDK makes the 385bhp so fast with all that turbo torque 9/10 situations the base Carrera hardly any different unless you want to look like a complete lunatic at full chat in a 640bhp turbo s on the road! I tend to run around in slower cars nowadays and enjoy them lots.
So C2/4 385bhp
C2S/C4S 450bhp
GTS/4GTS 500bhp?
Turbo 600bhp?
Turbo S 640bhp?

The 992 Turbo S won’t even be top dog for that long. The first Hybrid 911 is coming with 992.2 and will have over 700 bhp....badged similarly to the range topping Panamera and new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.

Looks about right doesn’t it. The C2S has a 0-60 of 3.4 sec IIRC so .4 sec behind a 991.2 Turbo S. They’ve made the base Carrera so good there’s very little room left for all the derivatives !

3.4 seconds is bloody quick for the lower model - considering the new RS6 will do it in 3,6 seconds and he E63 S 4 matic similar. The 992 Turbo S won’t even be top dog for that long. I hear 992 turbo s going to be approaching £200k! Should keep 991 fairly solid residuals wise.
Also crashing out of EU could be a money spinner for govt with a luxury car tax so may have to add another 20% to these prestige German cars moving forward. Fill your boots boys

Good point, i thought that the 992 C2s, with its 450bhp felt a bit quicker than the same power in the likes of the 991.2GTS.https://www.motor1.com/news/366840/2020-porsche-91...
Also its not always about the speed even more so on UK roads with more a more average speed cameras.

If that’s right it surely has implications for GT cars pricing as well....there’s a sliding scale which will be needed to justify that price. Would also put UK prices more in line with Europe.:
