The launch colour of the 996 GT3 MkI was Zanzibar Red ... which I loved but there weren't many.

I did go for Peridot Green on my Caman R and Race Yellow on my GT4 ...

And had a White Escort RS Turbo and a Black 205 1.9 GTI in the day ...

Maritime Blue was a favourite on the 964RS and I had a lovely RHD 964RS in Metallic Coral Red ... it looked rich brown under a grey sky and distinctly pink under a blue sky ... and the door shuts were a slightly different colour from the whole of the rest of the car which had faded a little ... it was spectacular !

Yup...it’s funny how these colours artwork on some cars and don’t work on others.

So we have a GT3.2 coming up on CC a Singapore car with very low miles in the highly regarded YELLOW, what do we think?

Saw this and posted on here when it was listed.

Interesting car in some ways but would be a very brave purchase imo due to a number of factors.

1 owner decent spec and mileage but Racing Yellow with red interior is an acquired taste.

Never fully registered for road use and remedial paintwork around both rear wheelarches and recent new tyres at under 3k kms could well suggest sole or extensive track use possibly by a number of drivers maybe ex rental perhaps. Paint and body warranty likely void.

Paintwork also shows chips and scratches despite some ppf also suggesting non road use.

Non approved Porsche indie basic service in 2019 at 1800km but no mention of 2 year service if the car was registered pre July 2018 as is likely. Probability high that mech warranty invalidated.

For someone based in Singapore who can view the car and assess its actual condition and see storage conditions etc it could represent a reasonable purchase but for any UK based buyer the VAT import duties shipping costs all associated problems and buyers fees will inevitably mean it will be have to be a cheap car especially bearing in mind likely warranty issues.

Very. After buyer's fees, shipping, and import duty that's circa 110 to 117k... for a Singapore car, unseen, with no warranty/come-back. Certainly an interesting proposition for someone though, no doubt.

Nice due diligence AV. Seems odd that you’d stick a Singapore car into a UK auction too....they will have surely tried to sell it locally. All I have heard for the last few years is UK cars going to Singapore, HK and Thailand because they’re cheaper.

Cheers C.

Be interesting seeing what it makes but it could well do stronger money than expected in the current market irrespective of all the associated problems. At the moment with all the wealth and 'stupidity' sloshing around nothing actually surprises me when it comes to the high prices being paid!

I should have looked closer that's a ridiculous amount of things for the mileage, it should be like new.

Nice spec 17 67 2 owner CS Agate red int trim 4.5k PDK sold in a few days at AP £135k.

OPCs have sold 9 gen 2s in the last week and are desperate for stock which is pushing up prices.

The Miami decent spec manual CS 17 67 with 8.4k miles has increased in price from £132k to £134k.

Truly mental car market across all sectors atm and prices £££ reflect this and the resultant demand especially for quality stock.
