ratios are about the same in the 991.2 manual vs PDK you just have a 7th cruising gear.
I know I'm a broken record, but what rpm are you at in 6th at say 75mph, becuase 7th doesn't feel like a crusing gear to me, I'm not trying to argue I'd genuinely like to know. (And if anyone has a new 718 CGTS4.0 PDK same question, but 7th, or are they not delivered yet?)
The PDKS as fitted to GT3/RS does not have an overdrive cruising 7th gear. In fact the PDKSs 7th gear is virtually identically geared to the GT3 Manual 6th gear. Not quite sure where MrD gets his info from but in this case he's totally misinformed.

lol how's your Ti exhaust manifolds ? while I admit I make mistake's, you never did on that !

not sure I have said the RS is naf or the engines over rated. I think I said the RS is best in class and still laps faster than the Macca's and the engine is a master piece.

In context though along with a few others inc Steve Rance I said the RS needs to me more these days MORE RS, and the 992 looks to have fixed that.
and the .3 engine is a bit hyped on PH by RS owners and not true ITB's a bit of a get around after they had to fit OPF's and find some horses.
I would take a non OPF car every day of the week, and .2 RS none OPF cars have all of a sudden sold loads there were a steel at £165k and many have now gone.

If I made a mistake on the PDK-S 7th gear and if the cars fastest in that gear then it's an honest mistake, we all make them, i put my hands up.
I only owned my PDK GTS for 2 months as I find them a bit LBGBT+ I am sure in My GTS it was a cruising gear which drops the revs. If PDK-S uses 7th as a performance gear you learn something every day.

And I am 1st to put my hands up and admit the mistake :-)

Here's a pic of my caged, manual 991.3 GT3. I think the spec is remarkably similar to yours except I don't have gash carbon mirror caps like you do, they were too gay even for me and I'm a card carrying screaming queen! You often criticise people on here for making personal attacks, casting negative connotations on something by association with the LGBT+ community is showing your true colours David.

But then you use the word "gay" which is a direct attack on what I own.

odd why you would say one thing and then below say another about true colours which must be now about yourself !
But which does not offend me in the slightest.

LGBT+ is an "inclusive" way to represent all the different identities of people, nothing wrong in that, I won't be bullied by the "PC" Police who these days won't take a simple joke and I feel this is a encroachment on my individual freedom to say what I want, those taking offence choose to !

I would not watch Family Guy or the Simpsons if this sort of stuff offends you, two programs which I do have laugh at the end of a day.
And that is the last I will say on the subject :-)

If only it could be the last you would say on any subject!

And is it better 'round the Ring' than the 991.2 GT2MR?

Personally I am not a fan of the PC/ snowflake generation it gets us no where. I remember the days of the characters Bill and Eddie from love thy neighbour and with Bill always coming off better over the racist Eddie but there was never anything malicious about the programme just banter now sadly banned!
In this instance I think it's Parrella one nil over 911R.
But I do believe such comments and personal attacks on a group of people have no place on a car forum

I would like to get to a point I can run the 2 side by side and pick the keeper as the only downside on the 991.2 Manual is it's too much car for the road.
but get one on track and it runs rings round a 997.
How many track days have you done in your 991.2 GT3 now David? How does it compare to your experience of driving a 997 GT3 on track?
Do we have a response to this question yet David? I know I have asked it of you before on other threads and I’m yet to see response. We all know you speak a lot of sense and have a plethora of track experience in numerous GT products so how does your GT3 991.2 compare?

But strangely we have no replaced "banter" with lots of violence and foul and abusive language yet we seem to accept this .
No wonder youngster swear like troopers and carry weapons as it seems to be acceptable on TV

But TBH what does this all have to do with the OP?

All I wanted to know what what is the rpm in top on a manual at say 75, I wasn't questioning anyone or anybody. I would use my PDK GT3 far more if it wasn't so high revving on a cruise. I hated that on the GT4, along with the clutch effort and hoped the PDK in the 3 would be similar to my CGTS which was so comfy for trips with a nice high top gear.

Not selling it though unless bankrupt it's bonkers every drive, slow or reasonable pace.

Also agree with D on the times on track, if you can get any where near a good pro then big kudos, the instructor on the Silverstone track day this year, a very experienced and succesful British GT champion explained whilst trying to tutor me, actually afterwards, that they are easy enough to drive as 'fast' as I was (not very) but to really go fast they are difficult. A friend of mine bought one this year who races national F3, he was on the same day going way quicker than me but still quite a few seconds off our benchmark pro., and he said the same thing, getting that last bit they get very tricky.

I hope never to get there because it would end badly.

If somene could post the revs at 75 I'd be grateful. Maybe even for the CGTS 4.0 as well. (Not that anyone with one would be reading this with a shiny new better toy!)

To clarify, all the above is not presented as fact, just an opinion based on maybe 3 hours driving on track and 6000 miles on the road, by an old guy who didn't drive on track until late 40's and never raced a car. Who would think that was something to argue with?

Yes , I have .I bought of a guy on here second hand .Tips are nice and big and blue, they sit flush with the diffuser and do not stick out.I have the JCR rear delete on, these tips up the sound again if that is what your after.Still all very calm around town, out in the open foot down is very good, its quite loud but exotic titanium sound. The tips I have are the lighter ones with the weld around the outside edge, but same thing.
