As for the GT3 Touring, I am still sorely tempted. But then I saw that Tom Hartley has an Aeromax for sale. Oops. So much want. If he still has it when I get back from hols, that'll be the end of my GT3 fund. And that's a car I do believe will still have value in the future.

That said, the prices quoted earlier in this thread do look very punchy when compared with the £184k 991 RS 2nd Gen at Tom Hartley, no? I'm no expert though, just trying to understand a bit better what's going on.
Oh I’m sure, I’ve never driven either so I’m entirely unburdened by the facts when I ask the question. I just always assumed that the RS was a different league from the GT3 in performance and would have thought that despite the rarity of a Touring (and they do look lovely...) there’d be a much bigger difference in price. Maybe some day I’ll even have a decision to make!

Surely it's about what you want to drive, and the kind of driving you prefer? I live on the edge of the Dales and once Spring arrives I'll be up at 5am. And if it's dry I'll jump in the car for a 2-3 hour drive. My working situation changed last year, and I only have to turn up once or twice a month, so this year I put 10k miles on a C4 GTS, mainly as just described. There's nothing I'd rather do. And on the roads I prefer I don't think an RS would be best suited. Whereas the Touring should feel much more at home.Edited by PMacanGTS on Sunday 22 December 11:39

RS whilst a fantastic car, due to its harcore lineage and arguably ott looks actually holds less appeal for me than a standard GT3, for road use at least, for which there would be very little in it performance wise between the two anyway.GT3 RS is almost the antithesis to the Touring.
As said before, the winged GT3 is perhaps the nicely balanced sweet spot between the two.

Did not realise there is a halfords near you mate,a store has recently opened not far from us,i see they have some fury dice also,do you fancy a pair for xmas in fluffy pink polker dotHaha Yellow .....purple dice are the best . I initially wanted a Touring but no allocation and was a bit worried about the "Halfords: look of the RS , but love it , and use it on a daily basis . Also love all the carbon bits , so dead jealous of your carbon roll bars ....

The roll bars and drop links are a work of art,they are on the top shelf at halfords,can send you a pick if u want;)i here you can get them colour matched to your stitching
