He put the BBS magnesium wheels on his last one...wonder if he’ll do the same again.
he must still have those you would guess, maybe waiting for the nice weather.

If he stays in the U.K. he could be waiting quite a while for any good weather.

That does look good.
They must be the GT3 to have as they have all now sold.

It’s a GT3 Touring - says so on the engine lid doesn’t it ?
Also says good things about Lichfield - they seem to be gaining an excellent reputation.

What it is, was a free choice , to be serious, no right and wrong,if you liked it , you speced it, was simples.

The public really demanded rear seats on the GT3 touring though hence the very low orders. I know many people who said ”if only” but went winged GT3 instead due to seats. Because Well GT3 init :-) I think they look a bit meh just my personal view on it.

TBF you can’t really go touring with 4 people in a 911, even if it has 4 seats. I use my GTS a lot with the kids but they would not be happy driving the south of France!

Looks very special in yellow. Trouble is he'll now have everyone know who's car it is and every Tom, Dick and Harry trying to race him or come up alongside trying to take photos for insta. Novelty soon wears off smile

Just means the insurance sold the salvage on and someone else did.

If it was category C or D then any Motor trader or Body Repairer can buy it straight off the Salvage company, most probably at Auction..I'm guessing its a cat C with no damage to its chassis and since the 'overs' market for the Touring was at least £50K over list at the time then it made economic sense to repair it to 'as good as new' condition..
Most probably CH's insurance company only used the Touring's list price in their appraisal which is a different matter altogether..It would have been returned to as new condition so a good buy for someone at say £30K less than another undamaged Touring would cost..Chris could have bought it himself however chose not to..

but you have to have a GTS also which is daft. I had a GTS, was over rated, why drive a GTS if the Touring had 4 seats, you never would.
Now you cannot take your kids out in the touring !!

Only going what people said at the time, if only it had rear seats !! I don't have kids and hate 4 seater cars as people scam lifts from you :-)

A 911 is only a 4 seater if the driver is pretty short or they have very young kids !
