There's somebody out there that likes every car... for example this is my favorite version of the Speedster...

This is the previous version (997) and this was I think the launch colour - they only made 356 (I think) hence the price!

That was a bespoke option on the 997 Speedster Blue quite similar to Voodoo

Cost new £145k and believed out of UK allocation 22 cars less than 10 still here today

Well mine is being used as intended, didn’t buy it to hid it away in a bubble.
bought it to use it as much as I can, but this damn Pandemic
Has already put paid to my 2 week euro tour.
Wasn’t sold on the heritage so went old school Guards Red to match its
Older sibling.

This looks great! Heritage doesn't do it for me either

A perfect pair and neither for flipping beer

I see the Speedsters are slowly and hopefully heading back to original OTR prices so 6-12 months from now it might be game on cool

Romans have a cracking GT Silver 900 mile example for £249.9k pre covid19 this would have been £289k +

The 991 Speedsters have stalled more for sale today than ever before, many at circa £256-259k asking price and with what is coming down the line in the next 6 months I wouldn't be surprised if they fall back to original list price or less retail!

It's happened before and it could happen again the flipping for a profit days are now gone IMO

This thread got me looking again what's on the market. Heritage does not do it for me, so that limits options significantly. In Germany there are two in LIzard on the market - one with lots of Lizard interior which I would stay away from. There is also a Mexico blue one which looks great IMO. Must admit that I really like Carmine on the Speedster although it's usually not a colour I'd go for

Yes I remember those days the 997.2 speedster/sport classics for less than a £100k!
Be interesting where the price of the 991 speedster ends up, could be close to that of the gt3 touring!

I was offered a delivery miles Carmine Red one £228k list price OTR then it had another £5k worth of PPF all this way back in the February 2020 £275k

It eventually did the rounds via 3 dealers and finally sold late summer time for circa £260k

Carmine is a colour I would never go for even on a Speedster and I would have regretted parting with £260k+ on a colour that really doesn't work for me and then see the value plummet to where I think they are going to in 2021

The long game is the way forward IMO and fortunately all the flippers who bought in are at least not driving them much if at all so whenever they pop up low miles is guaranteed cool

Am with you. A Speedster is too expensive a toy to get one in a colour you don't like. Have the same with Heritage pack

If i wanted a Speedster it would be this GT Silver one which is the best colour IMO.. Lot of Guards red ones for sale which don't suit it. I really don't like the Heritage pack on the Speedster as it looks too wannabe racer.
This GT silver one at less than £250K is not bad value if you really want a Speedster. Wouldn't swap my Black RS WP for one even with a straight swap with no money involved.

I've always thought I would consider one if I could swap the Touring and the 987 Spyder (kind of mashing two cars into one) without any cost.

That's my point. From a value perspective, in my view, they are too expensive.
