I am in similar boat to you were Having failed to get a new one as Porsche have criteria's I no longer fit despite having had 14 new Porsche sports cars including a 1989 Speedster back in the day

I have watched the UK cars all Covid19 year long and seen them come of the boil by a good £50k + + +

Today I would not be a buyer at anything above the list price for a low to no miles example and if the economic meltdown continues well into 2021/22/23 I would not be a buyer anywhere near original list price especially as there would be very little chance to actually use and enjoy such a machine
There’s a red one which is stuck in my opc, been for sale since new.

There are about 30 Speedsters for sale in the German Porsche network alone. All commanding overs of 30-50k but not shifting. I tried desperately to get one at launch but to no avail so maybe wintertime and Covid will make these go back to list or thereabouts. Same story with the 911R which is now around 260-285k in Germany.
Black Friday has come a week early for this overpriced example as its just had a £50k price drop! and IMO will need another £50k price drop to get it sold but as this would be sometime in 2021 who knows what the economic world will look like especially for us in Boris's Oven Ready Brexit Britain eek

Don’t see that one coming down another 50k. None Heritage car sold for 250k last week from OPC, slowly these cars are finding their way to owners that will use them.

Which non-Heritage sold from which OPC? In the last week or so only the Guildford Heritage one at 285000k has disappeared off the website although highly unlikely it sold at that price when there are cheaper ones available.

Guildford car sold for website price (but it was up at £330k originally).

Well one thing for sure they are certainly not going up in price for the foreseeable and 2021 could see them back at original list IMO especially if past Speedster residual history repeats again

Isn’t the 997 now double the money?

From what I can see on here from other 991.2 Speedster owners myself included, we are having to much fun driving our cars to worry about what they might or might not be worth in the foreseeable future. Lol

Speedsters always looked a bit unbalanced to me but that Heritage front is just bizarre, and race numbers a bit try hard on a road car. Sure they are lovely to drive.

Crikey! I would love a non-heritage one but only at list or below. I really need to decide whether it's worth having instead of adding a 718 Spyder to go alongside a 991.2 GT3??

Yes that's what they ask for one today but Leeds have had there example for many months now and still not sold

When 997 Speedsters were 1-2 years old they were below list price despite there originally being only 20 odd UK examples and now 9 years on and with less than half the cars still in UK they have rarity and classic car status on their side

This example came with 400 miles and £10k below original invoice price beer
