'99 996 3.4 ULEZ NOx Emissions

I read that only one garage has invested in the testing equipment for motorbikes, and they can upload results directly to the TFL system.
When I had a motorbike I looked into this and found only one garage that offered this service for bikes, ironically it was in central London inside the zone!!!!Edited by FriedMarsBar on Friday 10th March 08:45
Hi Guys
I am trying to see if my year 2000 996 meets the ULEZ emissions limits. TFL says it doesn't, but I know there is some room for movement on this, so got my certificate of conformity from Porsche. Firstly, it is in German (has anyone been sent one in English?). Secondly, I'm struggling a bit to see from the doc whether my car meets the ULEZ conditions or not. The NOx amount seems fine (see red circled part of the pic below), but I cannot see a clear indicator on whether it meets the CO2 levels needed.
Can anyone help please? smile
The pic is via Google Translate.
Thanks

Your car does meet all the criteria - my 2000 GT3 is ULEZ exempt thanks to this thread. If the GT3 passes the test so would a standard Carrera. For a change, they were surprisingly efficient - got my car to be exempt within 24hrs of sending TFL an explanatory email with the CoC as an attachment.
Hope this helps,
Alex

Great, thanks. Was your CoC also in German? Also, is there a specific email to use when asking for your vehicle to be put in the ‘approved’ list?
Yep - CoC was in German. From memory - I think I created an account with TFL and then inside I was able to contact them and submit an email with the CoC. You can also try this email LEZLondon@cclondon.comTheThrottleCable said:
I’m having a hell of a time getting my car exempt.
Despite providing the required proof that the car meets the NOX level, three times it has been rejected by TFL.
Good luck ??
I got refused twice before I explained v e r y s l o w l y what was on the certificate and then they exempted me.Birmingham still can't understand that CO2 is the same in both German & English.Despite providing the required proof that the car meets the NOX level, three times it has been rejected by TFL.
Good luck ??

Have Birmingham given you any meaningful reason for denying your application?Biggy Stardust said:

Hi all
Appreciate this is an old thread but Im coming up against a similar issue which you seem to have resolved. My car is confirmed as ULEZ compliant on TFLs website but Birminghams CAZ say my 997 C4S is not compliant to Euro 4 standards despite it being registered in Nov 2005.
Where did you guys get the CoC from? I have emailed Porsche.
Checking the log book the emissions seem to be recorded incorrectly or Im just reading them wrong?
V.1 CO (a/km or g/kWh) - 0.413
V2 HC (o/km or g/kWh) - 0.686
V3 NOx (g/km or g/kWh) - 0.582
Based on above figures it doesn't even meet Euro 3 standards
Appreciate any and all help.
Thanks
