I meant to say bred not bread !..Not like me to make such elementary grammar errors. Must be a result of our inferior Welsh education wink

Mine too (and me), but I've been moderated (slightly) by not having lived there for 30 years.

I finally bumped into Mr McGovern at C&M yesterday, and sadly we can free-up no more reserved spaces. People are still able to turn-up and take pot-luck, and to be fair there's a reasonably quick turnover of spaces, so if you can't get in, a five minute drive round some of the excellent local roads before returning, should suffice. For the pre-booked group, to make things easier on C&M it would work best if we can turn-up en-masse (or in a number of smaller groups) but I realise this adds another logistical step to manage in the form of a pre-meet, meet! Not a necessity, but if there are some general geographical similarities in the group it might be an idea...

I’m driving down from deepest darkest Yorkshire (it’ll be nice to see the emigres). Maybe we can select a local meeting point to gather at and then drive in convoy?

How about the car park of the British Motor Museum? I’m not sure if that’ll be ok, but it seems a fitting location. And I’m sure they won’t mind the German invasion......

IIRC, from when I booked, I'm fairly sure most will have booked for arrival 10:30 - 11:00 am. So if we hit that 'window' would that suffice? or would they rather we all turn up in convoy?

Arrival in groups would be easier to manage, but I don't think it's make-or-break TBH.

As suggested, the BMM at Gaydon would be a good meeting point due to it's proximity to J12 of the M40 (2 min's). It's 15 to 20 minutes to C&M from there. I can suggest some good routes wink

at this rate the UK might lock down events over 1000 people

I guess we will know more tomorrow, 40 UK cases now, new ones from " Hertfordshire, Devon and Kent"

panic is staring to set in, que's 100 long for hand wipes ALL hand gells sold out when my miss's went out at lunch to pick up a few things.

Cobra meeting outcome made public tomorrow.
but it looks like the virus had landed and if no lock down will spread now.

" health secretary, Matt Hancock, has warned it was now “inevitable” the deadly virus would “become endemic” in the UK"

If you were on that plane with these new cases you pretty much have the virus, so potential cases will rise at high rates now as they cannot track every one who comes into contact.

Contact tracing now sounds impossible.

UK has hopefully (just) seen the back of the 5th wettest winter on record. Most of us have been living in our wellies and raincoats.

If the government thinks it's keeping people penned indoors, just as the weather starts to turn for the better, good luck. biggrin

It's all crazy; so the government will be giving C&M a tax break to compensate for lost income then? And the rest of us for that matter!

Unless they barricade the roads, and deploy tanks, (one or the other I'll attempt to deal with) I'll be there.

called the real world.
this has never happened before world wide.

containment is key in the UK, go against that and it's not good.
people seem very selfish ?

Not selfish, just not panicking.

And I don't relish the prospect of staying indoors all year. See you at C&M on the 15th? thumbup

^This. Just bring the Fezza, no one can complain, given the circumstances. Or the Cayenne for that matter!

We self isolated for 10 days after returning from Malaysia with a cold four weeks ago. We were tested at home and my results took a week to come through and were negative... Still waiting for my wife's results! probably they lost the samples. (If I'd returned to work at a large food factory and had spread Coronavirus that would have been the end of my already unimpressive career in the food industry).

Already had one business meting with someone who has been to and from China this year. That's just to my knowledge too - the world keeps turning.

I'll take each Armageddon as it comes.
