I’m about to pull the trigger on a 991 Touring. The car was originally a steel brake car, brakes have been upgraded to Surface Transform brakes all around at a cost of £10,000+. The brakes use the same callipers but the discs etc are non Porsche.
The car has hardly been used, circa 1000 miles..
Has anyone come across ST brakes? They seem to have great reviews.

great disks but now no Porsche warranty renewal, you gain in one hand and get it taken away in the other. The car has hardly been used, circa 1000 miles..

these cars are all coming up to 3 years old so the "warranty" saga is the next load of OPC hassle to deal with.
You could fit the org disks, the seller must have them and sell the ST disks of course for £5k
Yes, the warranty is an issue. I had thought the warranty might be invalidated by the ST brakes, they are supposed to be amazing, better than PCCBs and easier to refurbish.
Have heard they are good for 100,000 miles.
The car comes with the OEM brakes so easy to fit to extend the warranty.

hope you get it :-)
Since they were launched I’ve always wanted the Touring. I’ve had both 991.1 & 991.2 GTS’s so thought it is time to move up to the Touring.
The car will be used for road trips as well as 1-2 track days a year but I also see values holding up longer term, it’s a rare thing, only 48 RHD in the UK, not as rare as the 911R at 33 RHD cars but still a desirable thing.

Have you driven one, they are quite noisy and very firm. do you have another daily to use ?The car will be used for road trips as well as 1-2 track days a year but I also see values holding up longer term, it’s a rare thing, only 48 RHD in the UK, not as rare as the 911R at 33 RHD cars but still a desirable thing.
I am not sure most people really want a GT and that's been true since the 996 GT era.
to quote Hunter from the GT4 thread today:
"Yup just a change in ownership .... my friend who has only done 350 miles in his touring , actually loves the car , just does not really like driving it . Every time we get together he talks avidly about it , just finds it uncomfortable to drive"
