Need to pay and get wrist band, but it can be done on the day. Not sure if that's all day, but certainly about 9-10am after driver registration.

Are you arranging dinner for a particular time? If so, can I come and join you on Thursday evening? I may also have a buddy with me.

Cheers digga. Had some mates wanted to pop by and join me in the afternoon, but there's no way they're getting up that early for the registration!

I'll pop over on Thursday night and say hello, as I'm not going to stay on Friday night!

Weather looking dry and clear smile

It’s not ‘my’ event, but I posted this on the thread about this on 911uk, as I think it’s worth saying:

ust one 'housekeeping' point, because this causes issues to drivers on track every year.

Just because there are spaces free in the rows immediately behind the pit garages, it's kinder not to park there. People who've paid to be on track don't want to spend time hunting for a space near the garage where their kit (tyre pressure gauge, tolls etc.) is stowed.

There's loads of parking in the pit area, so please keep a few rows back if you are not on track.

Hope that’s not out of place or taken the wrong way by anyone.

I have my own pit crew coming, because I'm so important!!

Was in sport and classic today getting new tyres fitted (and brilliantly they found and fixed the cause of my high speed vibration) and I told Michael's lads I'd pay better than him on Friday if they look after me instead of him ;-)

I'm disappointed it's going to be dry - I'll now melt my new PS2s and I was looking forward to my 4x4 barge going round the outside of the GT3s in the rain biggrin

How strict are they for noise on the day does anyone know from experience? I have new jcr race pipe fitted to my opf car and worried it will be too loud. Cheers.

If you can get past static you will probably be ok for the day. The problem being you won't pass static at 3/4 rpm, so need to get them to test car at lower rpm say 4000. Not sure what car your in but tell, them it restricted to 4000 rpm while stationary. It's quite common for the 997/996 Gt3 boys to do this when the cars been mapped, mine has. They test at 4K and say they will monitor on drive by which you shouldn't have an issue with hopefully.

Sorry it’s a RS with the opf’s. Yeah it doesn’t rev out at static so hopefully that will work. Cheers for reply.

This event and indeed Outlon Park is a first for me. If there are any kind souls that either fancy sitting in with me for a session or letting me passenger with them before lunch time, then that would be a great help and much appreciated.

Happily for a passenger ride ... there should be instruction from professional instructors there ... well worth booking as soon as you arrive.

I'll happily show you my lines at a slow speed and build it up ... yellow GT4 with an EU badge on the back !

Just tickle 3k rpm at the static and tell em thats the max. Can always lift off at the drive by meters.

Wouldn't mind a listen of your car. Ive been tempted to get a rear bypass but put off for track reasons.

Please keep out of the way of my turbo on the straights and don't laugh when you subsequently pass me "parked" in the armco wink
