Yes that’s a great colour. Mentioned on another thread I think. I’d return the wheels to factory finish and it would be perfect.
Latest Mk2 video doing the rounds. I haven’t watched it all. Bit slow to get started and the title seems a bit of a stretch.
Maybe of interest to someone.

Nice to hear that clown Cmoose is no longer on here.
What a horrible little oik he was. The epitome of a bitter keyboard warrior.

I cant see the 996 gt3 ever going stratospheric tbh, for it to do so all cars including the rs, would need to be sold so there none available. And then the next financial jump could happen.
This is what happened with the rs when I think only the parr development car was available at 60(?)k, that sold and over night, went to 120k.
The mk.1 could jump higher once it hits 25 years old and if the Americans can import it (should they want it), its what happened with the r34 gtr and a few others

I think the CS version of the 996.1 is almost overlooked because there are so few of them in good order. But they were the full RS if their day lacking inly the plastic windows …. And were genuinely the platform for everything GT3RS and GT3R since then.
They also have a lovely slim old-school simple appeal which used to characterise the stripped out classic RS.

Edited for accuracy CW They also have a lovely slim old-school simple appeal which used to characterise the stripped out classic RS.
I've been darting around, looking at 993 c2 's'. However I'm starting to think a 996 gt3 might make more sense.
can you set them up for road work? or is it new dampers/springs?
apart from the ones that have been for sale for 10000 years, does anyone know of any decent gt3's for sale? or Private cars coming up for sale?

Do you remember when Cmoose and was it Porsche911R or someone were at loggerheads?! Their blood pressure levels must have been through the roof! (though I admit I didn't help matters!) Yes that’s a great colour. Mentioned on another thread I think. I’d return the wheels to factory finish and it would be perfect.

They can definitely be set up for road use. These cars are old, so having to change shocks may be moot anyway, but others here better able to advise.can you set them up for road work? or is it new dampers/springs?

while looking for my 996.1 CS I had the pleasure to drive a LHD Swiss car on 50k kilometres. It was bone stock and heavily tracked, but it was also Trigger's broom. New OEM Shocks+Springs, coffin arms, diff and even a short engine block from Porsche in France! It was an absolute delight during my 30km test drive on the country roads around Geneva. It had fast road geo set up according to the paperwork... can you set them up for road work? or is it new dampers/springs?

so yes, they can be set up to be "normal" or complete animals (like the car that I ultimately bought)

Been for sale for 6+ months there, it’s been tracked a lot but very well looked after. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202301063...

My old car that I would be willing to bet mechanically it's miles better than a lot of the garage queen's for sale. It's well priced by Ken & Adam and that warranty they offer is absolutely no quibble and rock solid. I don't own the car anymore so no benefit to me but it really is a special car. Having owned two, one a far lower mileage car from JZM the speedyellow second one I owned was a lot better https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202301063...

I know the previous two owners before JoeHow and that is a fast car too. Dyno'd at the upper end of the 4-5 996 GT3 mk2 on a day I had organised (was >400hp). Also when doing some comparisons with my 996RS was just as quick in a straight line (if not quicker sometimes but I'll claim rookie driving on my part back then!).https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202301063...
