My guess is that the official weight figures won't be more than 20Kg heavier than the 991.2GT3..Don't forget that the 992GT3 is likely to retain the old 7 speed PDKS box rather than the heavier 8 speed as fitted to all the 992s including the 992TTS..The main reason for the 992TTS 40Kg gain is attributed to the new PDK which is 20Kg heavier than the old one.
The 992GT3 PDK will have an official weight of 1450KG and 525PS is my best guess.

It 100% Wont be 525bhp..

540bhp with downforce far superior to 991.2 GT3, and braking of 992 TurboS... let me tell you about the braking of the NEW 10 pistons on my 992 TurboS.. devastating performance over and above 991 PCCB's

You are right it won't be 525bhp it will be less :-).
I,ll take a tenner bet to guide dogs :-) ?

The 991.2 cars were a lot faster than 991.1 cars, we won’t see the same gains on the 992.

Reckon say 7 bhp up on the Speedster so 510bhp.

They might match the 991.2 RS which is 513bhp. Just because 520ps is a round number to print. Be 525ps/518bhp max imo.

Leaves 540ps/532bhp then for the RS.

Should not be long now to find out.

Wonder what people think the market/order book will look like when the new GT3 is released late this year?

I suspect the speculator brigade won’t be seen for dust as overs are hopefully a thing of the past and possibly many enthusiasts will not go through as they won’t be in a position to do so. Or will the cars actually be oversubscribed as usual....?
Late to the party but I was told by my local dealer that they were only giving slots (718 GT4) to preferred customers. So I doubt this is likely to change.

Expect 992 GT3s will only go to those that have purchased countless new Porsches’ in recent years so makes it unobtanium to 95% of folks. If you buy a taycan turbo s at £140k, I reckon that’s your ticket to ‘maybe’ getting a shot at a GT3 slot. It’s all barking mad to be honest.

After the first 5 or so big VIP clients at each OPC, you can get a car if you go in with a business deal so to speak.
If you want a car at a price you can have one no issue, just less people willing to pay the price I find.
Like the Rolex market it's sometimes just cheaper to buy at overs hence their will always be the overs market.

Remember plenty of people got offered gt4 slots and a number turned them down, this shows how the market has changed.

Also don’t forget Porsche make profit from selling new cars, they cashed in on the 991.2 gt3 as this is the most mass produced gt3 to date. 9500 units world wide and 700 to 800 of these units went to the uk. It wouldn’t make sense to ramp down production of the new 992 gt3, it wouldn’t shock us if they make more than 9500 units world wide.

From the information already out there, it sounds as if it’s been improved in a number of areas yet again and they have still been able to keep the weight the same as the 991.2gt3.

What was interesting is the touring may come a little later in production and I would imagine demand will be high for this configuration GT3 due to the values of the 991.2 gt3 touring.

800 Uk 991.2 GT3's ?

It's more like 650.
Split that down over 5 models, you end up with some of the rarest GT3's to date hence the very strong values as there is a market for all 5. And that’s without the comfort lemon spec cars !

667 Sounds about what I recall. For .2s
Don't be so quick to Dis the Comfort spec cars, I went Comfort on my 991.1 GT3 back in 13, list was 118k, used as a daily along side TTS, tracked and V-Maxed also. Did 14k miles in 18 Months, gave it back to supplying OPC when 918 arrived. It sold within a week for 140k. Always a few that like the comfort seats.

Why is a comfort spec car a lemon, not everyone wants a big wing and a roll cage?

If you tried hard enough you could break any Porsche car down to individual spec and that would make every Porsche car unique and rare!

Which ever way you try to change it 9500 worldwide units of the 991.2 gt3 is far far more than Porsche have produced in any previous GT range. That’s more than the 996.1 gt3, 996.2 gt3, 997.1 gt3 and 997.2 gt3 combined.

I also didn’t understand the ‘comfort lemon’ comment.

Surely they are all virtually identical?

The Touring is no more comfortable, it is just sans rear spoiler.
The seats are a personal choice, and for road use I would prefer the sports seats over buckets.
But the rest - leather, stitching, pcm, cruise, lights, music, etc, seem to be common on all cars.

I agree with you - have had LWBs on a car and comforts on another. The comforts are excellent on the road and (on occasion) for track days assuming you are not competing.

Personally I wouldn’t spec of comfort Gt3, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a Gt3. 991.2 Gt3’s are great cars, that’s unquestionable, but it’s also unquestionable that Porsche made more of these than any other Gt3.

I am holding out to see the RS. I have had a few of them and they work for me. Agree current production is now huge compared to the past.

Look at the 996RS which is rare.

I have a 7.1RS since new and they are more common but not like current production.

I disagree with the 'comfort lemon' spec comment.

1. Less of them
2. Less likely to have been thrashed on the track or perhaps never even seen a track - big plus for the next buyer who wants a daily
3. 50k cheaper than a Touring
4. Being able to actually use the back space

Yes no fire extinguisher ......not a real GT3 , not real racer spec , Cage , Harness etc just for the run to the store . A wing is bad enough .

You cannot sell a older comfort spec for love or money.
That’s been the 2nd hand GT market for 20 years.
Is what it is, yes you get 3% owners want one , nothing 100%.
