i think his one man anti-'GT3 touring' diatribe adds valuable balance to all the positive press one reads and hears elsewhere in the mainstream motoring media. so i salute him !

Pardon my ignorance whats a snow flake, its not reached the wild woods yetsmile

May be You could send him to coventry as the old saying goes smile i am sure he is a nice chap really as is most of us,but when following a post you can not help but read the drivel and expertise with such a lack of experience ,i dont go spouting about boxsters and caymans etc,as i know FA about them, but always happy to help some one with what i know and have experience of.
This forum has lost a lot of good members who have taken a awful lot of experience and info with them,to the detriment of this community, never mind the credibility.
Good cheer and all thatsmile

"Snowflake",
They are very PC, do not like bluntness and normally find some truths too much to except, even though they ARE the truths.

911R, he is harmless, give him a break. Brightens up the forum, imho. wink

"Snowflake is a 2010s derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions. "

And if they do a top job, so to speak, they might be rewarded with a passenger seat drive.

Or some gruel.

Mr 911R is sometimes right and sometimes wrong.
But this little forum would be very dull with out this contribution.
For sure he divides option, so he must be doing something right in the eyes of some on here, which is fair enough. My gripe, is far from personal as I'm sure in the flesh (assuming he is human and not Bot) he's a perfectly nice fella. However, I feel that on the whole his contribution to this forum is mainly a negative one. He states things as fact, where in actual FACT they are more often his skewed opinion and pretty much always weighted to his own car / spec choices in some sort of effort to influence those that may be more naive to the market etc. IMO, he comes across as somebody who is clearly passionate about the brand, but very focussed on his own agenda. Further, he sometimes gives the impression of being somebody who is so focussed on prices, depreciation and market value that it leaves me wondering if this over shadows his ability to use his car as intended for fear of what it might cost to put miles on it or track it etc. We all know he hasn't tracked his GT3 despite speccing it accordingly and I therefore conclude that his CS spec manual GT3 is purely a status symbol that he enjoys having on his drive for all to see, but rarely drives it as intended. What a shame to be so passionate and all knowing but not allow yourself to enjoy the product.

This forum used to be a very friendly place where driving and technical knowledge was available for Porsche driving enthusiasts. In more recent times it has become dominated with values and contrast stitching. And I think David has played a massive (negative) part in that.

Its an app/game on my iPhone which my youngest likes and I'm addicted to through lock down. Brill game. Imagine following ur opponent on track day and being able to shoot his 911 to win the race. Bit like wacky races smile
