A lot of that front end looks disguised plastic additions to me. The rear is the same so I don't think we can form a fair impression. I share your reservations though

Bugger the rear, so to speak, any pics of photo one from the front C?

Not Sure I’m Liking The Front

The blunt straight edge along the bonnet of the 992 just looks wrong to me compared to the 991, all IMO of course

No good if the front end looks like Nanny Mcphee though.

992 is a good all-rounder - better looking than 997 IMO

It just looks really BIG compared to previous cars due to the ratio of bodywork:glass...

That is as good a GT3 that anybody would ever need.....

Reading this thread Sounds like the Touring will potentially be very popular this time around.

Leaves me wondering about the values of those ones currently advertised - the range is bonkers £150K to £200K.... massive correction coming for many of these cars?

From what people have said on here there have been quite a few cancelled orders for GT4’s and that was before the current situation !
Only 2-3 as I recall, but there were definitely some.

Like last time, I think there wont be enough GT3s to go around. I don't think your average GT3 buyer is going to be massively affected by a 2-3 month economic pause.
Make that 4 cancelled orders on here, I cancelled mine in mid October. Mine was the second car due to land at our OPC. I was kindly offered another slot later on if I wanted one.
5. I cancelled mine and was told I would not get another chance. I don’t blame them, but numbers for new GT4 don’t stack up against the value of old one and suspect in time, the gen one will be seen as more important (10 plus years from now). I also prefer the look of gen 1.

Gen 1 was one of the bravest cars Porsche did since VAG ownership. Gen 2 had none. Doesn’t matter today. In 20 years it will. I just hope I get to put a few hundred thousand miles on mine in that time.

For the GT3 - you guys know Porsche will sell every single one easy. I think overs market is dead though.

I suspect porsche will move production of some RHD cars to LhD though to keep demand - they’ve always said “produce one less car than there’s demand for”. Or the translated version of that.

You’ll still see an active resale market. But no overs. Is my thoughts. Because people like the appeal but move them on. Like many super cars.

I personally am not into the 992. All cosmetic reasons.

Totally agree with many sentiments on here.

Had a few Cayennes as a daily and GT4,GT3 RS.1 and GT3.2 manual. TBH the Manual hit the nail on the head.

The WP RS looks great but does it sound as good as the 3 manual. Funnily enough I used to say that my GT4 sounded better than the RS!!

Cayenne 4.2 diesel was immense just loved that beast, wish we still had it. Was thinking about the new Cayenne GTS but time to take stock a bit in life and see what is actually needed.
Think life in the spending department will adjust for many and that we will be happy with what we have. I know it will for us I won't be a frivolous wanting the next new thing that's for sure.

Yes the New 992 GT3 will be quicker but does it look better. I'm not so sure neither as the front end looks a bit odd with the longer looking bonnet.

If I had my time again the 2RS is just bonkers looking and probably is mental to drive. Lucky guys that have one. Saying that I've been lucky to have had what I've driven over the years.

Personally i think the aftermath from this virus will be much harder and prolonged than some optimistic people think..I've already battened down the hatches as my business is starting to suffer..I've cancelled my Taycan along with two other major business capital purchases i had planned..
Three of my cars are on SORN including my RS WP..The Ferrari hasn't left my garage in over a month and i don't see that changing much until early Autumn.
There has to be a massive rethink on our lifestyles back to a much simpler existence with much less dependency on debt..The UK will have to become much more self efficient in food production and travel much less than we do now..There needs to be a huge investment in the NHS with the money going to front line staff and new hospitals, rather then being squandered by these massive NHS trust quangos with all their waste and red tape.
Much more bureaucrats, civil servants etc should be retrained to become useful front line workers such as nurses, police etc...The Status Quo is not an option otherwise the debt will just keep on piling up at both household and national level..
Back to the 992GT3, i have no interest in getting one in the slightest or any other new Porsche for that matter...My next car will be a classy understated Air cooled 911 which will be much more socially acceptable in the future IMO.
I intend to have that framed. I actually agree with you wink

We have diversified into manufacturing 10,000 lt of hand sanitizer weekly, initially to supply NHS, but the bureaucratic nightmare has seen us divert supply into Care Homes and front line staff who remain biblically heroic.

The NHS procurement are an utter, utter shambles. I'll leave it there.

I maintain...There will be the mother of all recessions, possibly leading to depression following this with massive unemployment and business liquidation. All asset classes will be hit, none more so than over leveraged automotive trinkets.

Regardless if lockdown is lifted, lack of confidence in the market will absolutely muller values across every brand, at a level we’ve not experienced since the 80’s.

Prices are holding firm at moment, as no point in dropping them. No one is buying...wait for the proverbial to hit the fan once we start to unlock.

Additionally, to be seen cutting about in a modern, ostentatious, be-winged sports car during and immediately following this, is something personally I couldn’t be more uncomfortable with.

If that were true the markets would be at 3800 not 5600.

The whole idea to keep the world going was investment, which it's had trillions and trillons of $$ worth . Most business are itching to get back to work.
Most business who liquidate will set up again under a new name.

That's great to hear Paul..Mine is on SORN now but when i get it back i might investigate taking the huge rear wing off to be a lot less flashy..You can buy parts to substitute where the wing uprights fit into the rear boot lid. Imagine a stealth Black RS WP sans rear wing..The thinking man's Touring RS methinks..idea

The WAG are fantastic in creating new ways to waste precious tax payers money by inventing onerous red tape and bureaucracy..I've seen how hard both nurses and doctors work in the last few years when treating both my parents with serious illnesses..
I feel sorry for NHS front line staff in the sheer volume of unnecessary paper work they are forced to deal with, even for simple tasks !
Happy to hear your company has diversified into hand sanitisers and help the public same time.
We are in for a very rough ride in terms of a recovery which will take a minimum of 10 years..

If only I'd of known.. just been robbed of £39 for 3 x 250ml bottles of Mylee from some thief called Just Beauty off Amazon.

Agree about metal - I think this will be worst than what we have ever seen before. I don't think we'll see the true carnage in prices yet.. probably only -25% or so by start of next year. But going forward after that I fear it's going to be terrible for most medium-to-high value modern stuff.
