Going to change my mind actually to 70k, got mixed up with retail as the bids will be from traders.
Should be sold under the "Dutch Auction" which would make it more interesting and fetch a better price.
So you are bidding on it and now decided that 80k is to much and 70k is a better bid? Should be sold under the "Dutch Auction" which would make it more interesting and fetch a better price.

911R did price it earlier in the thread: low £70k including fees.
About as much as, on reflection, I’d expect. It’s a nice car, but they don’t go for much more than that at dealers.
Agree, asking prices for a car to sit for sale for a year is one thing. Real world selling prices are another thing. About as much as, on reflection, I’d expect. It’s a nice car, but they don’t go for much more than that at dealers.
Cars of this age need to be in the very best original condition, have perfect Porsche history and have low owners to sell for top money fast.
The question is is there someone out there you thinks this car is one of the very best to pay top money.

You said £80k plus fee's
I am sitting here having a laugh to myself.
Also why will bids be from traders, imo to get this to retail condition and make 10/15% profit it's already above trade price or will be very soon, hence the low reserve, seller will be up over spending the money sorting the car and then selling to a dealer.
Was better off selling as is to some one with little knowledge about values and potential issues.
Be a end user sale now imho the rr check will boost the value a tad.
I await your £80k bid on it.
I never mentioned fees in my first post, there is no reserve on the car so assume the bids will be from trade out to make a quick buck. There are quite a few for sale at the 80k mark.I am sitting here having a laugh to myself.

Imo to get 80k for a 997.1 Gt3 cs it needs to be the very very best low mileage, low owner cars in perfect condition, this is also a very very very small pool of buyers for this type of car.
Very few established Porsche specialist would bid 60k on this car including fees in today’s climate.
Like 911r said it needs money spending on it and even then it won’t be a 70k plus car.
My guess would be a private buyer chancing it around 63k plus fees.

I'm not being ignorant here... BUT Can some one explain the potential issues here as in your post? i have a C4S 997.1 GT Silver, that has potential issues with Bore Scoring, IMS not so much as its a later Gen.1 with the larger IMS, Plus its a Manual so no setting off in 2nd as per the Tip box, The Mezger Engine i thought was a solid bit of engineering, worthy of the increased price tag, and CS spec... There arent many 911's look this good for the price.
If this stays around £60K i'm bidding on it myself, Also dealers will buy this because they arent getting the Stock, this will as i said in an earlier post fetch a solid price,
911r pointed out a number off issues fromIf this stays around £60K i'm bidding on it myself, Also dealers will buy this because they arent getting the Stock, this will as i said in an earlier post fetch a solid price,
the photos, service history and write up. If you look back you will see his post.
Are you going to view the car before bidding?

See mine and D.No’s earlier posts for owner POV.If this stays around £60K i'm bidding on it myself, Also dealers will buy this because they arent getting the Stock, this will as i said in an earlier post fetch a solid price,
Basically they are as reliable as any car of this age if looked after well and not over-revved and not used year round in salt.
Gearboxes I all Mezger cars may need attention if there is wear. Main symptom is second gear ‘pop out’ under deceleration (Google).
Coolant hoses may need attention and a few other usual bits, but cars are pretty solid.
Digga, yes.... hoses as per any other, had mine done the other year when the Clutch was changed, all exhaust clamps done and bolts. Condensers, A hole in the seat fabric wouldnt bother me ? Most of the foibles are related to some extent. The gearbox issue wasnt a concern though as i had thought they were pretty reliable ?
I wouldnt view before buying, i'd need to speak to the owner though before, get a feel for how long he's had it, Useage.... Most of these have been tracked, the odd few have never been. I think with the 991 GT3 having some engine issues a Mezger would be the way to go. I wouldn't want new or nearly new and as such i'd expect a bit of wear assosciated wear with age and use, If i wanted pristine i wouldnt be looking at a used GT3 i'd be looking at a 992.
I'm keeping my eye on it, but i think its mid £70's £77'500 + fees.

£62k was what I would go on it, £64k now the rr is ok.
But what I will think some one will bid is £70k.
