My car is in the country and will be ready for delivery in the next week or two.
I’m really torn on if to take it or not, it feels a bit inappropriate considering the current situation.
Problem is i really want it!
My 2S arrived at the dealer the day they shut the doors in March and sat there until June. I felt the same. Two words.Take it!I’m really torn on if to take it or not, it feels a bit inappropriate considering the current situation.

Why on earth would you NOT want it? Your money, your choice of car. Unless your own circumstances have changed massively then I can see no reason why you would back out at this stage - surely there's going to be a massive fiscal penalty if the car is now ready to be delivered too?I’m really torn on if to take it or not, it feels a bit inappropriate considering the current situation.

You are quite right and I think the want factor will ultimately win out. I’m fresh out of burning cash on a Mclaren so I had promised myself I’d be more sensible.. There would be no penalty if I decide not to take it as I agreed with the dealer that purchase would be subject to a test drive.

Wow, that is a painfully long wait! How are you finding it?
Only done about 400 miles so still taking it easy, but LOVE it, great car and my first Porsche been in RS4’s and that type of thing before so enjoying the two wheel drive but having to concentrate a bit more. mattybrown said:

I’d say you made the right choice with the 2S, I had a 4S and found it a little dull. That said I wouldn’t want a daily with Turbo S levels of power with two wheel drive. APOLO1 said:
Gave in spec the day it went live on the Config. Completed build last month hope to have it in next couple of weeks. Looking forward to getting back to V-Max.
I’m hoping to get mine to the 18th July V-max were you thinking the same? If so will you bother running it in or just give it the beans from the get go?Edited by APOLO1 on Saturday 4th July 19:26

Slight tangent from the thread purpose but I see that Carfection have review the TS now - I really like Catchpole as a reviewer; he always seems to speak his opinions without any fanboy bias and has a refreshingly "real world" slant to his analysis.
Always nice photography too.

Yep HC is truly a breath of fresh air in an increasingly diluted world of tedious shouty and essentially self promoting cringe vids.Always nice photography too.

Get it track prepped with sticky tyres, smooth sticky surface on a nice cold day and that's a sub 10 sec car. rkwm1 said:
This is the reason I cancelled my order. I would never use the power. I would never take it on track. I would probably lose my license. Will stick with GTS (for now).Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
