All the 992 Turbo S does is prove we’ve reached the limit of value a modern ICE car can offer.
What do you mean as performance ICE is allegedly faster?

TX.

My car is in the country and will be ready for delivery in the next week or two.

I’m really torn on if to take it or not, it feels a bit inappropriate considering the current situation.

Problem is i really want it!

My 2S arrived at the dealer the day they shut the doors in March and sat there until June. I felt the same. Two words.Take it!

Why on earth would you NOT want it? Your money, your choice of car. Unless your own circumstances have changed massively then I can see no reason why you would back out at this stage - surely there's going to be a massive fiscal penalty if the car is now ready to be delivered too?

Wow, that is a painfully long wait! How are you finding it?

You are quite right and I think the want factor will ultimately win out. I’m fresh out of burning cash on a Mclaren so I had promised myself I’d be more sensible..

There would be no penalty if I decide not to take it as I agreed with the dealer that purchase would be subject to a test drive.

Only done about 400 miles so still taking it easy, but LOVE it, great car and my first Porsche been in RS4’s and that type of thing before so enjoying the two wheel drive but having to concentrate a bit more.

Gave in spec the day it went live on the Config. Completed build last month hope to have it in next couple of weeks. Looking forward to getting back to V-Max.

Sorry it’s now out of context, talking about a C2S

I’d say you made the right choice with the 2S, I had a 4S and found it a little dull. That said I wouldn’t want a daily with Turbo S levels of power with two wheel drive.

I’m hoping to get mine to the 18th July V-max were you thinking the same? If so will you bother running it in or just give it the beans from the get go?

David's hopefully racing me in my old banger 997 if he has 992 by then on 18 July. He'll be tearing up tarmac running circa 30 back to back runs with full bore launch control etc if seeing him launch his then new 918 anything to go by! I don't think I've ever see a car launch so hard in my life standing a few feet away.

looking at feedback from this thread, i would say all our 992 TS are sitting at Emden waiting for the boat!

Slight tangent from the thread purpose but I see that Carfection have review the TS now - I really like Catchpole as a reviewer; he always seems to speak his opinions without any fanboy bias and has a refreshingly "real world" slant to his analysis.

Always nice photography too.

Great review on the new 992 Turbo S..Another brilliant review is Harry Metcalfe who was hugely impressed with this car unlike the standard 992S which he really didn't like.

Yep HC is truly a breath of fresh air in an increasingly diluted world of tedious shouty and essentially self promoting cringe vids.

Get it track prepped with sticky tyres, smooth sticky surface on a nice cold day and that's a sub 10 sec car.

This is the reason I cancelled my order. I would never use the power. I would never take it on track. I would probably lose my license. Will stick with GTS (for now).
