So no need for a trickle charger on that then?https://www.antigravitybatteries-uk.co.uk/automoti...
Its a better road car than it is a track car, turn off all the gadgets and appreciate the grip and chassis and give it the respect it deserves.
Its far to heavy to be a top track car,its good on track but hard on expensive consumables, sounds great.
Changing a battery for a few kg is not worth it unless its part of a drastic weight reduction of say 120kg,or you just want to!.Having been through many rs versions with weight reduction projects,i got my 993rs down to 1130 kg and increased bhp by 80,made it a wicked car that i owned for 10 years. It you think its a track car,may be if you have not tried it yet,get into a race car and see the difference, chalk and cheese.
What a rs wp is,its a great road car you can drive to a track and Have great fun with and drive home again, nothing more nothing less, not in the slightest interested in lap times in mine.

Hi chap, I think your car is riding Dunlop’s, how are you finding them vs the Michelin Cup 2’s ? Its far to heavy to be a top track car,its good on track but hard on expensive consumables, sounds great.

I find them ok,but not great in the wet under braking, less tread than the cups!Hunter may give you more info as i think he is now on mich from dunlops.Another mate does not like dunlops and trying to wear them out to fit cups.

I’ve just come back from a drive in my RS over some country roads and what surprises me most is the ride quality. I suspect the people claiming it was too hard were using it as an excuse to flip it.It rides better than the GT3 I had which i wasn’t expecting.
I bet BrnttRubber has already specced his 992 GT3,992GT3 Touring, 992GT2RS 992.1GT3RS.1 992.2GT3RS and 992Spyder, all in PTS and probably already knows the new owners, got to get ahead of the game if you are smart Yellow491 said:

A huge indulgence really as the car (2.5 years old) has literally only done 160 miles (isn’t that incredible).
If anyone wants a set of Dunlop’s that have done 160 miles to wear out on the track, let me know as they are for sale - as you can clearly see from Yellows review above - he thinks they are a brilliant tyre and so much better than the Cup 2’s

Interesting, thanks. I recently bought a 2nd hand, 991.2 GT3 that unfortunately came with Dunlop’s and I’ve just swapped over to Cup 2’s - the car needed setting up properly as it wasn’t right for some reason and I thought It sensible to do both things at the same time.

I had the gen 1 Dunlops on my GT3 and pretty good tyre until the road got wet when any confidence you had evaporates..In all fairness both the Dunlops and Cups are useless when wet compared to MP4Ss which are amazing..A huge indulgence really as the car (2.5 years old) has literally only done 160 miles (isn’t that incredible).

Cup2’s are fine in the wet as long as there’s a decent amount of tread and it’s not really cold.I’ve done 10’s of thousands of miles on them on various P cars and providing the two points above are observed no issue.

The difference between you and me is that you're a great driver and i'm sadly not..What i will say and it applies to all drivers of all abilities is that the Cups have zero braking on hard packed slushy snow..Don't ask me how i know.I’ve done 10’s of thousands of miles on them on various P cars and providing the two points above are observed no issue.

Nothing to do with it Taffy, I'd have suffered the same issue no doubt in the slushy snowEven if you'd been on PS4 the result could well have been the same.

For perspective, the WP pack - which Costs a small fortune - is probably worth half a second on the lap, which is the same as throwing 50kg of unnecessary bits off of the build.
Half a second a lap but worth heaps more on the pub bragging right front....if people couldn't boast about their option list including unobtainium wheels, forged carbon front wings and other such tat who'd be buying the RS....? Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
