No one should be persuaded that the PDK is a poor option. It isn't.

The reason the manual is now more sought-after is, in part, because the PDK was so good when it came out and the majority of cars were PDK. Some people bought manuals just to save money, when they really wanted a PDK.

Yes, the manual has an enduring appeal and hasn't dated (which the PDK always would), but the 997 PDK was and remains very good. It's not a slush box.
Thoughts on the non paddle version of the pdk?
Note I have had a few pdk cars and not that bothered about manually shifting anyway if the car can make a half good job of it!

No time for that and can’t afford a manual GTS!!

Given my requirements I reckon a better question is pdk GTS or tip 997 turbo!

Looks a bit ‘tarty’ to my tastes.

Some nice aspects, for sure, but makes me wonder why someone would carry out all that work on an original car.
Was it so significantly damaged at some point that the colour change and replacement parts justified the cost?
Not really my cuppa either - I find any heritage type touches look a bit naff on anything post 993

Had a drive of a pdk car and enjoyed it..

May finally be time if I can find one…

Wouldn’t mind a short drive of a manual just to feel the weight of the clutch - anyone got one in the northwest? Would any manual 997 clutch / change motion feel the same if I can find a lesser model to try?

Need to find a nice non white coupe - not much around..

yep some are GT3 money, but then such GTS some just 10hp shy of such GT3 997.1 are also some sort of special, those with manual 2wd are perhaps more rare as well then a GT3?
I can’t realistically daily a GT3 though

Done a weeks worth of looking now and am a bit none the wiser we a sensible price to be paying for a car privately!

My view is that I’m happy to pay well in excess of a trade offer but not match what I perceive to be a realistic trade price.

The issue being the likes of Ashgood will price a car realistically but some want to reference cars with paragon / hex etc which I feel are very toppy.

Views on reasonable price for sensible owners / good history PDK coupe with 35-40k miles?
