I took delivery of my car about a week ago now. It happened all very quickly as I didn’t think I would get a build slot at all this year. Have to say I am delighted and glad I did go with -10 pasm. Managed a few early morning run outs and on a twisty open road it really flows well. Enjoying the grip and punch out of low speed corners compared to the GT3 and the comfort and tech when I want to chill. Did I also say it is quick, very quick!

When you get a bit more used to it, and you can find a dry twisty road. Engage the sport plus mode but switch the damping back to normal, the way in which it grips and " sling shots" out of the bends is something else...13PDJ said:

I had the lower -10mm on both my 992 Cab and Coupe S, both cars came on Pzero. First time I drove the the coupe it felt bouncy on some roads. So following morning dropped the pressures down to 31 -33 Cold. This transformed the car, you may need to re tech the sensors. Same for the Turbo S with lower Sports suspension, I would say on the Turbo S it improves the ride even better than the C2s, it’s still firm and lower stance etc, but the lower Psi’s go a long way to stop it feeling “bouncy” on some roads. I don’t get any warnings going off with the above PSis
I’ve just dropped the pressures on my 992 Turbo S with -10mm and am amazed at the difference it makes, it rides so fluidly and is noticeably more comfortable. I have another on order and was going to go without the -10mm this time but will definitely have it again as it gives more of a GT3 sharpness to it plus it looks better.Edited by APOLO1 on Sunday 28th February 07:02
I did have an issue with the tpms but selecting winter tyres seems to have solved this, I presume there is no issue with doing that.
Thanks Apolo1, great advice!

I know what you mean, lowering the PSIs sharpens the whole car up nicely. On the stock PSIs I found the car to bouncy. For me the lower -10mm is in keeping with what this 992TTs is all about. Yes selecting the winter settings will re set the tpms. I did have an issue with the tpms but selecting winter tyres seems to have solved this, I presume there is no issue with doing that.

The dynamics I love, exceptional. But I still don'y like the 992 looks. The rear is just too busy, Audi like . Turbo looks dumpy. For me 991 is far better looking. As I say , not doubting the dynamics or performance, which are, as ever, off the scale.
I have a 991 Turbo S and whilst I adore it, I think the 992 Turbo looks much better in every department and if I had the mere 80k min extra needed to upgrade Id do it.barriejames said:

I agree. I've got a 991.2 Turbo S Cab which I love but I'll buy a 992 just as soon as I can get back to the UK (currently in Australia). I'm interested in the comments on the lowered sports suspension being improved with lower tyre pressures. That's good news as I really like the lowered look.

Have to agree, it’s too big and overstyled for my tastes - although not as bad as the new GT3 - which has gone too far IMO.There again, I’m one of the ‘old-skool’ 911 fans, who still values purity and simplicity in design.
Having said that the ‘Turbo’ has always been about excess, and has a different appeal to the traditional 911s.
I'm sure we've all seen this car hanging around on the 'trader.....
It seems to be a little bit of a lost lamb, struggling way below the rest of the flock.
Anybody know the background of the car? I get the impression that it's with a bit of a portacabin dealer - witness the laughable 'admin fee'.

Crappy ad doesn't inspire confidence.
