Having just sold my 992 TurboS, the 10mm lowered suspension really ruined the experience, I would NEVER spec it again as previously said our UK roads are just rubbish and the car just kept bouncing all over the place!
100% spec adaptive cruise control..
100% Burmeister really adds to the experience.

My build will be March I'm told thanks to you guys there's no longer any concerns over not spec'ing sport suspension and lift
there's a little wobble over the adaptive cruise (£1,200) it's something i've used in a Bentley, but I just dislike the centre eye in the front....
The Ferrari Roma uses an even uglier one perched like a fog lamp on the one side

If it’s something you’ll use spec it. In these days of average speed zones etc on motorway roadworks I use it all the time. Clearly you really care how your car looks but shouldn’t let that get in the way of something being useful...and I would say on a car like this something that might stop you getting three points on your license. there's a little wobble over the adaptive cruise (£1,200) it's something i've used in a Bentley, but I just dislike the centre eye in the front....

Yep! you have a point here LordOfTheManor said:
ok, so the £2k I've saved on lift/suspension, I have added the cruise and park assist
it now stands at £164,700. anything else? spec has to be locked in on Monday
I spec’d Glass sunroof as I always do I really feel it adds to the feeling of space in the interior, personal but a nice touch. I wouldn’t again spec Privacy glass just doesn’t look right, defo wouldn’t spec the oval sport system again either, waste of money and looks pants over the standard system. You get a lot with the car anyway so I think your just about rightit now stands at £164,700. anything else? spec has to be locked in on Monday
Would not bother with lift, don't have it on mine and never needed it over past 6 months and 4k miles. I agree that the standard Exhaust looks better than the sports one. But the Sports one sounds much better, so for me its worthwhile option. On the lower sports suspension think this is down to what you want form the car. I use mine a fair bit on track and I see it as more in keeping with the GT side input on this car, so for me its a must have option. Fair few have commented that its a hard ride when on road though.

thanks for your advise, can I ask why did you sell yours?
Being Honest.... After the Honeymoon of doing Launch control at 5000rpm and having permanent whiplash! done a couple of trackdays, went on a few drivers meets put a couple of thousand miles on the car, i was ready to move it on.I had a Taycan turboS on order and I just wouldn't of used the motor throughout our winter months, so chopped the car in for the Taycan...
Interesting I ve gone the other way . Switched out of the taycan to the TTS . I liked the taycan 4s aplenty and all who went in it loved the car . It however wasn’t a 911 . TTS specked lightly with tilting roof , matrix lights painted sills and air intake . Few other bits added to sub 5k of extras .

Interesting. What is your use like? Family? Commuting? Country roads?I was impressed with the Taycan. With the 911 feeling more GT-like with each generation I thought a Taycan might be a better buy.
The only thing that ACC adds is that the car will automatically brake if it thinks you are going to run into the car in front. Ordinary cruise control is standard on the car and will take care of extended average speed limits, etc.,so I don't think it is necessary. I think the front axle lift is essential for very pot holed roads, speed bumps, driving on to ferries, etc. unless you only ever drive on flat roads. If you do track days, the lowered suspension could be useful. I don't think a sun roof is necessary for a car with air conditioning, but each to his own! I think the Exlusive Design Wheels make a huge difference to the look of the car, but they are expensive. I opted for the black leather seats with Sport-Tex fine check seat centres and crayon stitching, all of which is a no cost option, and think it looks very nice. I have had a 991.2 in the past and never felt the need for a rear wiper - which spoils the look of the car IMO.
I took delivery of my car on Christmas Eve and think it looks stunning. It was delivered in a covered trailer as it wasn't registered then but it is now. I think the Porsche Centre wanted the sale in their December figures. I am now looking forward to the end of lockdown and some good weather so I can put some miles on it.

Does anyone have any experience of ACC cutting in unexpectedly- ie when there is no slowing traffic ahead.
A friend of mine has a new S class Merc and it occasionally applies the brakes, usually at slow speeds, but always when there is no reason.
MB say it is not an issue they are aware of and cant adjust the sensitivity.

about to spec my March turbo s, your thoughts on standard suspension not 10mm lower (saving 1k) and no lift (saving 2k)
am I paying to lower it and paying to lift it !
Great news. May I ask when you put the deposit down and when you got the nod that your car was going for build in May?am I paying to lower it and paying to lift it !
I put my deposit down 6 months ago and called in to my dealer a few days before Christmas and they said they still didn’t know their allocation for the coming quarter, Blaming Brexit, Covid might have an effect on build etc.
Surely this is nonsense and are fobbing me off?
