Paid my deposit for my 992 TTS back in Oct last year and still have no date to lock the spec in !!
Seems like it won’t be until June this year if I’m lucky then delivery early 2022 !!!
Have a GT3 rs already and between Xmas & new year bought a GT2 rs but haven’t driven it yet due to salty roads etc. I’ll hang on until I get some concrete dates from Porsche but if I have to wait until 2022 I may well cancel as I can’t be arsed to wait that long....

A good customer like you should not have to wait so long surely.

My deposit was placed July 2020 but with an amazing dealership, lets hope your deposit isn't with Lovetts because they simply don't care banghead
Can I dig into this, I've been with Swindon for years and had nothing but brilliant service from them. Am I the exception?

I ordered mine in June 2020 and got it at the end of December, which makes it 6 months from order to receipt of car. I don't know if this is the norm but my dealer (Mid-Sussex Porsche) said that they are not being allocated many Turbo S cars at the moment.

So I have just submitted my order for a Turbo S. Having reat the comments on here and some review's I made a few last minute changes.

Colour is a personal choice and I like to be somewhat incognito so in the end I changed from GT silver to Agate Grey paint, with slate grey and crayon Interior.

I stuggled wtih the other options. I wasn't going to order a sunroof, but opted for the glass one in the end.
Went with standard suspension - something I've never done before. My original order had PASM Sport Suspenion with the 10mm drop.
One thing I did was upgrad the wheels after seeing the car as SSC they are currently selling as I thought they went well with agate grey.

Other than Power Steering+, Park Assist with Surrond View the only other option I chose was Adaptive Cruise with Innodrive as it works so well on my Taycan.

Looking forward to being able to go somewhere in it when it arrives.

Roll on summer,

Carfection review (on YouTube) is a good one! standard suspension is the way to go driving

Agree with standard suspension.

On sunroofs I met the dealer half way and took the metal roof. I can’t really see the benefit of panoramic roof on a 911. Love them on big cars.

As for the sport exhaust I just wasn’t brave enough to not tick the box . I actually prefer the square pipes . Hell it’s about the only difference from all 911’s you can have .

I loved the old sunroof in my first turbo, so went with it again on a metal roof

didn't tick the sports exhaust because I own a Lamborghini for that hehe

Brilliant.

Will you mod the exhaust?

Glass roof in my 991. Love it, open the sunshade and it really lightens up the cabin. Close the sunshade and it’s like it has no sunroof...

If you are spec’ing a dark car and/or don’t mind the look of the glass roof from the outside - then I don’t know why you’d order a metal sunroof over glass.

Cheers.

No this one will stay standard i think, did an upgrade on a 720S Mclaren but these cars today are never going to sound like the 80's F1 cars of old
so up tp now i won't bother!

I have to have a painted roof, again a result of the 720S, the rain falls on the glass roof and always needs cleaning to get rid of the water marks

I had the same concerns, but with the right cleaning product it’s a non issue.

I’m no car cleaning geek, in-fact mines a dirty daily that rarely gets washed. But I have this gtechniq liquid spray, hydrophobic or something and the water beads and runs off even months after application.

Had a non sunroof loan car for a week, didn’t realise how much I loved the glass until I got mine back.

Good luck with it.

I’ve only had the one car with a sunroof but found it a bit frustrating because in cold weather I could hear it moving and squeaking a little over bumps.

It’s rather put me off having another sunroof car. Anyone else experienced that or should I treat it as a one-off fault with my car?
