I’ve only had the one car with a sunroof but found it a bit frustrating because in cold weather I could hear it moving and squeaking a little over bumps.
It’s rather put me off having another sunroof car. Anyone else experienced that or should I treat it as a one-off fault with my car?
OMG! the old ones didn't, i hope the new one doesn't It’s rather put me off having another sunroof car. Anyone else experienced that or should I treat it as a one-off fault with my car?

Just needs lubricating It’s rather put me off having another sunroof car. Anyone else experienced that or should I treat it as a one-off fault with my car?
Just me then that’s good. I did lubricate it (with what I found is the world’s most expensive rubber seal lube) and that was fine for the squeaks but it would still make a little noise as the glass wobbled over bumps. Just irritated me on what was otherwise a silent well built car.
Sounds like a one off though which is good as I still quite fancy a 992 Turbo at some point.

Yep! with the world as it is - May/ June / July might be the perfect time for a new car !
Thanks for that, maybe hold tight for a few more months and hopefully I might get the call!Sinkygolf said:
Well well, couldn’t believe it, I just got the call at 4.30 this afternoon that my OP can get me a car for end of March delivery however I need my final spec in for Monday morning! Been on the configurator for the past 2 hours and no further on even with colour!!! You really can go bonkers with the spec! So the general consensus is no to PASM? It won’t be tracked.
you means Sports lower 10mm option.every car has PASM.
I would have the lower spec suspension car it will handle better and add the lift option. but the normal turbo owner might not care how it handles, that's why there is a choice only you know.
just make sure you have the "Turbo S Exclusive Design Wheels" so many people don't and that's crazy not too, they make it imho.
but again that's why you have a choice :-)

Yes I should have been clearer -10mm. I was always convinced that I was going to order with until I have seen the consensus that it is better to go without which has got me second guessing my decision. Seems like I am not the only one with this dilemma! I think the stance is better with it and I would prefer slightly better handling despite offsetting against a harsher ride. Don’t think you would need lift though.every car has PASM.

I know what you mean about the exclusive wheels however I am not totally convinced they suit all colours and they are a slightly more fussy wheel in my option compared to the standard however I am not ruling it out. The problem is that you could keep endlessly keep ticking boxes and before you know it you are in the region of 15-20k of added options which I don’t think is worth it.

I've had a 997 GT3RS and 991 GT3RS but years before those had a 993 Turbo (melted cheese spoiler)
But now again, I have ordered a 992 turbo, I'm getting older (55) and I'm looking for a fast, safe, road car which is comfortable.
Guess my RS days are over because of the ridiculous way in which they are ordered, it spoils the fun.
The turbo was ordered by a straight forward phone call to a new dealer who was more than happy to take my money

An easy ordering process certainly gets things off with the right footing! But now again, I have ordered a 992 turbo, I'm getting older (55) and I'm looking for a fast, safe, road car which is comfortable.

Have you driven the 992 Turbo yet? I’ve not seen a demo and not sure what the setup is at PEC these days.

No, but I've just stepped out of a Mclaren 720S so nothing is going to be as fast, it was one of the reasons for the sale of that car,
I wanted to keep my licence a little longer
First person in history to buy a Turbo on the basis it’s slower and may assist licence retention. Well done sir!I wanted to keep my licence a little longer

Has anyone come from a recent Porsche GT car to a 992 Turbo/S (or have both)?I’m considering the swap as 4 seats would really help and the 992 Turbo seems to have taken a step towards the GT car feel from what the reviews suggest.
I have had GT cars and both 991 Turbo S and 992 Turbo S as daily cars at the same time for quite some time. They both go about things in different ways, if you have the need for use of the rear seats in the 992 will be really useful for this. The 992 Turbo S is definitely a step up in terms of GT car feel.LordOfTheManor said:

Thanks. I had a 991.2 Turbo (my only 991 and my only Turbo) and various GT cars. I found the 991 a bit aloof compared to a GT car - it seemed to cruise over the road rather than stick to it and breath with it like the GT cars do so well. I’m hoping the 992 Turbo will have that ‘stuck down’ feel of a GT car. arcamalpha said:
