Taffy i sense you are getting itchy feet, dont do it ,a wp car for a mainstream gt3 great it is ,is not a wp car,i think the wp car is a thing of beauty and even better to drive.Did you ever sort the extra carbon bits.
I have no interest in selling my RS WP for the new GT3 and have said this to my OPC only last week. The only one that interests me is the 992GT3 Touring and if i decide to get one will probably still keep my RS as i know i'd regret selling it. I only managed to get it on track once last year because of stop/start welsh lockdowns. Haven't done anything about the carbon as i'm still waiting to hear about your contact.
Any news on the RS day, is it still on or haven't they decided yet.?

I said that because he is spouting all his facts ,figures, opinions with nothing to back up With his personal experience on Track with his so wonderful man gt3,that he wanted to sell not long ago and buy my 997gt3rs.
I dont dislike him at all, most of it is funny Nonsense ,but his delivery is tedious and condescending at best ,most of the time. When he refrained from posting this last period,i dont think there was one post that was winding others up,its just not nessacery.
All the knocking of the rolex and turns out he has a few tucked away, says it all does it not,he even sent me a pm once thanking me for backing him up against the infamous moose,go figure that out.

Have you got a Porsche 911. 991.2 RS W/P ?. It’s just you never mentioned it biggrin

Good of you to refuse your guaranteed slot for the GT3 too, any chance I could jump in ?.

I’m going to spec double trombones, replace the 12v with CR20 Casio battery and cover it in G-Tech Supa Dooopa Bionic Snake Oil to guarantee I don’t scuff it lifting my golf bag in.

Paul, move over...ain’t no room for the pair of us biggrin

Why do you have this view? I have been on track with R quite a few times, and going for a time also. The last one being the EVO fast laps day. OK some might not like his delivery, but what he says is on point, from the pre build slots for the Turbo S back in Feb before it was announced , to the" Black Circle Group" which is a continuation of the 918 VIP programme.

He is ridiculously bigoted, and the posts vary from informative to utter drivel , so he rubs people up the wrong way.

Sorry rob,i have not seen him mention it;)always room for twosmile
Taff i have just re ignited the carbon enquires,it completely went to the bottom of priorities sorry, got me thinking when i looked at that grey wp with the carbon bits which look to glossy, needs to be satin or a bit duller.
RS day is looking more iffy taff as time goes on,British gt have reset there calendar and my first race of the season at paul ricard is looking to have its date changed to later in the year, will let you know as soon as we know,be a shame to miss it,or maybe have a event at the end of the season.

Press have all the info, can't release it until an agreed deadline. All outlets at the same time.

Re carbon - I saw a 991.2 GT3 RS at Topaz that had all the plastic bits carbon dipped - the finish was absolutely amazing - it looked stunning - it was Signal Yellow - not sure if this helps. smile

Carbon dipping is generally not that expensive but if it was Topaz then I could understand why,I wouldn't mind carbon dipping if it looks right.

The plastic on the 3RS compared to 2RS is st

Topaz don't do Carbon dipping but take the original plastic parts and apply a veneer of real CF over them like what DB Carbon do. Its done to typically high Topaz standard but like Yellow says very expensive. Techart do some Carbon parts for the RS which are also very high quality.

I think it’s about 7 mins in. I saw the car in the metal and it was indistinguishable from any OEM carbon I’ve seen. I agree it was bloody expensive - can’t remember how much - too busy trying not to lick the car to be honest - I’m quite a fan of Signal Yellow smile

Not into veneer either taff, still plastic underneath, also dont fancy some third party stripping my car down!I have asked the question ,it will be full carbon to swap with the placky bits.
You can come and lick my front hood if you so wish,as long as you clean up afterwardssmile

Haven’t read anything yet that makes me want a 992GT3.
Does it suit a manual now , maybe not, it’s a tough one for the people on the list what box to choose, but you have to go PDK I think.
... finally realised how slow mere mortals really are in a manual?

Mere hopeful protection of residuals ... of existing owners .
With PDK this good why manual , if you like the experience of analogue , get a proper analogue , an older car not a faux one .
