do you think that the painted front section will be offered as an option on the non-Touring?
Nope.

Have it wrapped, much better option IMHO.

mmhh nice, now which OPC do I submit it to given I have no track record with any of them ....

Edit: In Austria the base price is 221k and all the options also cost more - ouch

Would be nice if the Touring had omitted the distinctly indiscreet bonnet nostrils!

I see you have the chrome window surrounds. There is a black option but it is not available with the extra "free" options package of my OPC. A pity as I think of going all stealth this time around. Whilst my dealer is rather positive to secure a PTS slot again, it is not a given. Next best option would likely be Agate with dark grey wheels, so the silver window surrounds are not ideal. Locking spec is still quite a while out, so things may change

Agree, nostrils are the GT3s worst feature IMO.
That’s why I’ll happily give up my slot to @harrismonkey biggrin

If I were to actually submit a spec, I would choose the black window surround , but it didn't show up in the pic so deselected again

I thought about the rear sensors and then thought - screw that, I am able to park - esp if it costs me 1.3k for a couple of sensors and a camera

It wasn’t an option on the 991.1, but I think rear sensors makes sense on the GT3, given the limited visibility of the wide rear-end. Less essential on the front, although the nose does protrude further than you think, so can be vulnerable on low kerbs.

With that logic you don't need seatbelts either

Not really.

Seatbelts are a passive safety feature whilst parking sensors are an active driver aid.

I wouldn't spec them personally though.

I don’t think your logic holds.

Having said that, my comment was tongue-in-cheek, and if available, I would spec them.

Still looks a bit arse heavy to me but the aluminium frames and painted front air dam really lift it for me, especially in darker colours I suspect. No wing a big plus for me too but I know plenty do love the wing too.

I thought the Touring was the pick of the 991 range and this new Touring looks like it might be the sweet spot for me of the 992 generation too. Looking forward to some first drive reviews.

Now if only one could get this running gear with 4 seats.....

Or more to the point, if only one could even get one, whatever the version tongue outlaugh

Dont see the point of a touring, especially with 2 seats. The auto wing looks quite ugly to me as well. But for those that like it that's fine, but please pick black gloss trims or you will show your age.

I’m coming from a 991.1 Touring and I am very surprised as to how good this looks. Porsche are good at evolution.

Ditto. Really chuffed on the way it looks. Really looking forward to picking mine up sometime later in the year or start of 2022. Enquired today on whether i could get it in PTS, maybe wishful thinking but no harm in asking.!
Heart says Manual but Head says PDK.!
