The police would not pull you over in the UK for taking the wing off. In fact I suspect most coppers wouldn’t know if it should have a wing or not.
You can get away without having a front plate, so wing is of little concern
Its pure idiocy to take the wing off the 992GT3 after all the thousands of hours of development AP and team have done. If you hate the wing don't buy the winged GT3 in the first place, instead buy the Touring. You can get away without having a front plate, so wing is of little concern
In terms of no plate, well i was given a £80 FPN by the plod on my old GT3 which is why i now use a stick on.

I agree with this, but my concern is that when ever I had put a new car on cover the insurance co asked the question any modifications. These calls are recorded if there was a accident and it was found out that the wing had been removed not sure how this would sit with the insurance co, unless it’s been prior accepted.
Most people do not realise that some simple, modest modifications can affect their policy.changing wheels, adding decals as examples.
And of course different insurance companies have different rules...
So by getting confirmation of any mods and paying the extra premiums is what needs to be done.
It amazes me that we as car enthusiasts come here loving cars, letting others know our personal likes and dislikes, only for some to jump down our throats and tell you you're wrong!
I like the 992 GT3 with the wing and without the wing, and as an owner I will get to choose which way I go....
And that's, that!
I hope everyone enjoys the car the way they want to.

Agreed, you should always submit your intended mods to insurers.Melvynr said:
