Don’t know the law but have got vinyl on front of Boxster. No issues so far and hope I haven’t tempted fate.
Thanks FSL, I must check if my Boxster has not been defaced under the numberplate and I think I will go Vinyl… much cleaner look and might reduce the turbulence with my last 3 hair :-/fistenburger said:

Would like to put a slightly narrower plate on the back on mine when it arrives in Oct, but don't know the width of the mounting point - see pic (someone else's car).
Does anyone know how wide it is, and if it'll be possible to go narrower without any logistical issues?
Thanks everyone. Appreciate it.
Plates For Cars platesforcars.co.uk will make you one up in the right size. My 991 GT3 has one that fits perfectly over that ugly moulding. I used the double-sided sticky mountings from Halfords to attach it.Does anyone know how wide it is, and if it'll be possible to go narrower without any logistical issues?
Thanks everyone. Appreciate it.
Size was 355x111mm (14x4.4in)
For the front I has a stick-on vinyl plate made to avoid the bumper mountings needed for a normal plate.

I am told that Globally Porsche wanted to make PTS more attainable, but had more takers than expected which is causing delays.

My PTS GT3 was due November 20th but has recently been pushed back to December 20th. I am told that Globally Porsche wanted to make PTS more attainable, but had more takers than expected which is causing delays.
Last week I finally got to take up a morning at the PEC at Silverstone, a 'freebie' when I bought my current 991.1 GT3 from Bolton a year ago. They had a brand new 992 GT3 Clubsport with 190 miles for me to play with and I had a lovely chap with me who was happy to keep going all morning on all the options, letting me go as fast as I felt happy with (not very) and offering tips for track driving (he races as well).
Anyway, having owned a 991.2 GT3 before the 991.1 my short drive in the 992 was really surprising in how different it felt, the front end seemingly much sharper but the whole car just felt more refined all round. From the obvious interior to the more muted noise from engine, suspension and PDK. Certainly didn't feel any quicker than the 991.
Getting back in the 991.1 to drive home it felt like something from the 80's with its drivetrain clunks and rattles and snatching pull away. (And it's just had a new engine!).
If I could afford a 992 and by some miracle obtained a slot I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I don't relish long journeys in the .1 but the 992 seemed to be far more suitable for a euro trip to Spa etc.
Obviously I didn't drive on a public road and many many more qualified people have written proper reports on the 992, just thought I share a useless first impression. Feel free to flame away. (And good for you to those who have one coming, enjoy!)
