Recieved confirmation of my allocation. Have been offered a car for August/September.

Apparantely 3 cars per dealer in intially, with one PTS offered to some dealers.

Dont think i can justify the extra cost for PTS, but have a few days to decide!

Roll on September driving
Thats fantastic I also got a confirmation letter form my dealer, now just need to decide on spec etc

Congratulations. What spec have you decided on, and what are you still thinking about? Are they making you buy the watch?!

What watch?
Letter just said no chance of a GT3 so F Off some where else , hence need to sort out a spec for BMW as at least they need customers for their ugly M3 now LOL.
Sorry could not resist.
I have zero chance of a GT3 as
1. Not for me
2. No buying History as my only Porsche is a GT4 was bought privately
3. Probably could not afford it once I had options
4. And the deal breaker for me , no rear seats even in the Touring

I bet you are glad you stuck those stickers on your wing plates as these cars are so easy to lose in a car park.

Amazes me how many people like stickers all over their cars. I think this is carry over from the Max Power era.

Hoping you don’t have a sun strip..........
Off course I did, proper job thumbup

Spare a thought for those of us in other countries for whom £170k GBP is essentially the base price.

Correct me if I’m wrong but seems like a few people with not much previous Porsche history are getting cars?

Indeed, played around with the configurator and ended up with 195k - before PTS...

How much is PTS in the UK or Europe ? A lot more than the £3k it used to be I am guessing !

Still same as what it was on my 18 Pastel Orange Targa, just Under 7k. Not to bad compared to what others charge Imo.

I'd love one but seriously can not understand the stampede for them.
Erm,,,, There isn't one.
This suggests otherwise:

Had an email from Dick Lovett a few days ago as we told them ages ago that we'd like one i was really impressed with 992. They are more than 10x oversubscribed. I'd call that a stampede especially for a car that will be average at best on our crappy potholed alloy cracking roads. Be brilliant on PCGB and other track days. Quite a limited spectrum of ability depending on how comfortable you like your car to be. At 51 if I don't get one really not the end of the world I'm going on 75 hehe

I'm also DL but different OPC to you. I suppose the same old flippers are still wanting to get their greedy talons on the latest GT but will have absolutely no interest in keeping it longer than a few months. Hope they get their fingers burnt.!

I kept it for almost 2 years as a daily and 20k miles, until 992c2s came out. Great colour

Would anyone pay more for an early flipped 992-GT3 than they could pick up a 991.2 GT3RS ?

Ah thats the other thing. If someone was crazy and offered me £50k on top or whatever (I'll PTS/Touring/Manual ours in a funky colour) I'd struggle not to take the profit. £50k tax free? What about others?

I'd not actively market but lets say someone walks up to you and offers £50k profit for first cars in a petrol station and being 100% serious? What do you do apart from taking a step backwards 2 metres? biggrin
