I’m just curious as to why it looked like (but isn’t) it was
optioned on a car with a cage as nobody is sitting in the back when there is a cage.
I didn’t say ‘why on Earth’ I said ‘why from a logistics POV. Blimey can’t ask anything around here without being attacked. A bit weird your reactions, to a genuine question. Moving on…
I must say the purple GT3 looks stunning

Think its a fair point about Privvy Glass, some spec it some dont. I will always spec it on any 911 if its an option, not because of how its looks more a point of it helps keep the Sun heat off the inside, thats a large glass area at the rear. I dont like having the AC on full power seems to make the air inside very dry, in my opinion. APOLO1 said:

Thank you for acknowledging that and your reply. Nice to read a reply that isn’t full of angst. Best regards APOLO1 said:

That's a very good point on privacy glass Apolo and not something people are aware of. Personally never ticked it on any 911 but that's because i'm a bit of a tight arse. I also hardly have the AC on full blast as i believe it affects economy and makes my throat tickle. Its a cheap option on a 911 whatever. I have privacy glass on my 812SF just because the first owner picked it but with the huge glass rear window i'm now glad he did. FWIW the 812's privacy glass was £2640 which makes the 992GT3's at only £387 a bargain.

not sure privacy glass on its own deflect the solar to much extent, on my Taycan i spec'd the Solar reflective glass option and in the hot weather it really does work..
I have the Privacy glass and Pano roof on my Taycan but not the Insulated glass. The cabin gets quite hot in our recent heatwave which i mostly attribute to the Pano roof. Porsche makes all kinds of bold claims on the Solar reflective properties of the Pano roof but since it has no electric sunshade we find it lets in a lot of heat. It gets hot to the touch in the sun pretty much straight away which is different to the side windows. Its probably down to the fact its fully horizontal and a large area. If we lived in a hotter climate we'd never spec the Pano roof. Glass is glass at the end of the day. This is getting pretty far off the 992GT3 subject so will not mention it again.

Thermally and noise insulated laminated glass for more efficient reflection of infrared radiation for:If we lived in a hotter climate we'd never spec the Pano roof. Glass is glass at the end of the day. This is getting pretty far off the 992GT3 subject so will not mention it again.
- noticeably quieter outside noise
- UV protection
- reduced heating of the interior
Pan roof :
Large, tinted glass roof for a bright interior and generous visibility to the outside.
Hence my comment regarding heat management in the cabin being great with the thermally Insulated glass, makes a huge difference which I am glad in that hot weather!

You notice it most on cars that dont have Privvy Glass, on the 991.2 Targas with its large Glass rear you could really feel it on drives down to Spain.Thank God Privvy now an option on the 992 GTS Targas. I know what you mean about having the AC on full blast it also drys up my throat, I hate it. For this reason i will always Spec Privvy if its an option on all my P cars, Ioniser is also a low cost worth while option, I only put in on my Turbo S by mistake, it really helps with the Pollen, in any event Insulating Glass is not an Option on GT3s, so its Privvy glass or nothing.I have privacy glass on my 812SF just because the first owner picked it but with the huge glass rear window i'm now glad he did.
