Is that the Carbone Poland wooden shifter kit?
Thing that bothers me is the metal is a different metal finish to the rest of the factory metal interior trim. I think I am leaning towards their new update of it in black, plus they have made it slightly slimmer and improved it

That Porsche lettering on the back lets the whole car down. Why do people do that? Very odd mod.

While I’m with you, the answer is simple:

Because OP likes it and it is his car.

Interior, I like it. The front seats are not meant to match, the whole point is to make them look after market!

Very happy, getting the door handles and door arm rests trimmed in alcantara, thats the only bit to finish

Its 50 shades of grey. There is zero cohesion between all the various shades of grey. Why didn't you try and use the same upholstery shade?

2. I've seen some cars with this centre section round the ac and infotainment painted. The standard silvery grey is a bit rubbish but looks great in black.
9x7.2 isn't it?
No some owners of gen 1 cars doing it.

That work well as it is just a few shades cohesively brought together.

Road to Redline Podcast...Lee Sibley who is Editor of Total 911 mentioned it...he asked specifically and was told that by someone at Porsche. Porsche are starting to release more equipment for older cars it seems...tuned chassis for 996 and 959 (weird choice)...targeting the Restomod market ! There was apparently a press event but I’ve not seen any coverage about it.

9x7.2 isn't it? I agree though, improves the look somewhat.

This interior is pretty much what I plan with a 987. Looks great!
Please don't go nuts with different shades of the same colour, it just looks an utter mess.

More than a passing likeness to the Snakebite 997 CSR!

Yep the car was built for me so when others build theirs they can do what they want. But as we all know most people won’t as they would rather judge than do.

Aesthetics are always subjective and there has been some great suggestions I have done or considered.

I am not 100% on the interior yet but will live with it and see how I feel.

The beauty about Resto’s is you can keep changing

It is similar to the Snakebite CSR except it was half the cost and a rebuilt bored engine 😀

It needs to be seen in the flesh. SDD posted his open day and the car will be at Brands Hatch this weekend outside the masters tent if anyone is going.

My cars at RPM at the mo and just had a quote for colour change or stay black with GT2 aero. Very expensive but so many different ways to change colour i.e. bare shell or not etc etc. RPM let the owner decide. Yours coming on nicely.

And that wasn't a dig, they're both stunning in their own right and as you say the CSR has had alot more cash thrown at it.

I didn’t take offence they built a nice car for sure and being compared is a compliment for sure as it cost 130k I think.

My plan from day 1 was to build a nice road car for sensible money ie under 70k including the car

Car is going for the rolling road set up Friday will see what we got then.

Changed the Brake and Clutch master cylinder for GT3 ones as was not happy with feel will report back
