Just ordered my replacement 992 and I recall that somewhere in the past I'd read that there was a little publicised option to choose from 4 or 5 different options of what features were allocated to the physical buttons in the dash. Anyone have knowledge of this, or what they are? I've asked the dealer a couple of times but haven't heard back yet. I usually keep the Sport Exhaust in the noisy setting and it's built into my Personal setting in the PCM anyway so prefer not to waste a hardware button on that. I assume nose lift would be on there by default if it's specced on the car (which it is), and PASM selection as usual?

Grateful for anyone who has knowledge of this. Did try and search for it but I guess I'm asking the wrong question....

On another note: Still wondering why Porsche don't have a HUD option for the 911; love it on my X5.

Cheers

I've never heard of being able to choose.

The button packs illustrated above have the 'diamond' buttons - those are the configurable ones.

The more fixed spec, the less diamond buttons.

I had a 992 in that had been specced with FA lift, but there was no button for it - it came to us as a used car (been through a few centre checks and a customer) and hadn't been mentioned.

The owners handbook will list the configurable options (there are many!) The 'Good to Know' App on Apple store may help - it has online owners manuals......
