Apologies; I'm sure it has been asked many times before, but rather than searching through the archives I thought I'd ask what the latest views are.

I cannot stretch to a 991.2 turbo S so please don't suggest that.

However, I do particularly want PCCB brakes which obviously the S model has. There aren't many non S models with PCCB's but RPM Technik do have a nice 991.2 turbo that ticks several boxes but there is also a lovely black 991.1 turbo S at OPC Stockport which ticks slightly more boxes spec wise. Both are similar money.

I’ve had a 991.1 TS and currently have a 991.2 TS and I think the changes between generations are a positive step forward.

Better steering, more urgent drive, feels a bit lighter, new steering wheel and mode switch on wheel, updated PCM.

If the 991.2 Turbo has the spec you want I’d go for this option everyday.

RPM are good to deal with too.

The car at RPM is fantastic! I viewed it before I bought my TS.

What is your budget? You can get a TS for the price of the 991.1 Stockport car.

The PTS 991.2 at RPM is a stunner. Love it but think it is sold. Their night blue car looks lovely too. One of those is where my money would go if I was after a Turbo at around £100k.

Blue one at RPM looks nice, what’s missing from the spec - looks pretty comprehensive?

I had a similar question but my debate was between 991.1 Turbo and 991.2 Turbo as price differential considerable. I ruled out a 991.1 Turbo S as for me at same money I wanted the newer tech of 991.2.

Great responses everybody - thanks.

Firstly, I should have said; the RPM car is the dark night blue car and not the PTS model which is sold anyway.

Secondly, the OPC Stockport car is the 991.1 turbo S in black.

Budget is approx. £95k. Please excuse my fussiness, but ideally I'd prefer rear wiper delete and black, both of which the Stockport 991.1 gives me, but it is not the Gen. 2 model which most people seem to favour for obvious reasons. Strangely enough I also prefer the DRL's and rear lights on the Gen. 1 but that isn't vital.

I'm not sure I'll ever find my perfect spec car but equally I don't want to regret not going for a Gen 2 if I can get close on spec.

I was in the same position pre Christmas and ended up going for the 991.2 Turbo S.
Managed to get a OPC car in Black with a very high spec around £100k.

A few threads on Gen 1/Gen 2 debate but the tipping point for me was the updated PCM (apple car play) and the smaller steering wheel.

I agree with your comments wiper delete, and personally did not want a car with one.

I dislike the rear wiper but found a car I wanted apart from this feature so I'm living with it and most of the time have forgotten it's there.

You can have it removed and they put a bung in the hole in the rear window if it really does bug you after you've bought the car.

Night blue metallic is a stunning colour IMO and will work well with the sportex interior.

Question also relevant is 991.2 4 GTS or 991.2 Turbo

As they are starting to get close in terms of pricing.. really hard one.. i can't make up my mind on this one. And at the moment driving them to find out is a bit of a tough one..

Turbo will be quieter and probably more competent but not necessarily give the same thrills. If it was. 2WD I think I’d say go GTS.

I think you need to drive a a 991.2 turbo and GTS at full chat. Simply no comparison the turbo is mental. I'd reject the turbo on basis you won't keep license for long in it hehe

I found it a bit too easy to go quick in. I found the GTS (especially the manual) to be more fun. Not as fast, of course, but more enjoyable. Maybe I need to try the Turbo again...

A manual will always be more fun IMO so GTS on that basis alone. The turbo with PDK is a force of nature but as you say very easy to drive fast. Same with GTS 4 PDK though.

Yeah, definitely. I wouldn't buy a non turbo in anything other than manual. Am tempted by a turbo though just for the sheer speed.

I’ve done the extre speed in an F12 and it was amazing and the engine is probably like nothing else. But felt utterly frustrated in the U.K. where it was borderline unusable, whilst in Italy it was just perfect. But that was for a few months, real life unfortunately is back here In the U.K.

I fear turbo might be equally frustrating if it doesn’t come alive until much higher speeds, leaving you wanting for more most of the time. Speciale was better in that respect, so were the GT3s but all 2 seaters and I want the option to accommodate my young son at least occasionally.

So on paper the .2 GTS RWD fits the bill, manual or pdk. I like both. Shame there’s much more supply of well specc’ed AWD, probably as they discounted them at the end of the production line..

I'd like to try the GTS again (in PDK) as I always remember it as so enjoyable. Turbo is a tour de force and very accomplished and I definitely drive faster now than I used to 😬

Yeah. Manual GTS are almost impossible to find. I am actually very tempted by the lower priced 991.2 Turbo from RPM... Can't understand why it's so much cheaper; especially as it has quite a decent spec. Can't be just the interior surely? I quite like it.

Its a very nice car the blue turbo coupe at RPM. Its not an "s" like the other one which is and also a cab with folding buckets rare car tbh. I've only seen a few turbo s cab specced like this as most people prefer normal seats in a turbo s. It makes the few turbo s both coupe and cab with folding buckets quite desirable.

I was actually looking at this one. Seems ridiculously cheap and can't work out why.
