GT3 allocation (992)
Discussion
I have been watching on from the sidelines while Wondering what’s really going on here with new 992GT3 supply.
Seems to be lots of 991 owners saying they won’t waste their hard earned and despite this the 992 seems really hard to get. Is it actually a shortage of slots for 2021 (as in they are not building many this year) which should ease up into 2022 or is there a genuine huge demand for the new car?

Primarily just very limited supply for ‘21.
But also based on the reviews now that people have more info of that the car will be like... it’s possible that many people will become adjusted to the fact that the 992 GT3 isn’t for them, in winged form.
And they’ll be waiting for the ‘Touring’ or as it should really be called... the new GTS.

If it was somehow confirmed that its going to ""very"" limited then there would be a bunfight for it.Seems to be lots of 991 owners saying they won’t waste their hard earned and despite this the 992 seems really hard to get. I think it will be very available in 22, specially if your part ex 991.2 is very desirable.

This is Just NOT the case believe me. I have a PTS car arriving End of June and the list at just my centre was over 100, whittled I think it will be very available in 22, specially if your part ex 991.2 is very desirable.
down to 30, then 10, then 3..
I Cant remember the exact complete amount they were getting for the full production run but 10-15 cars including Touring if my mind serves me correct

The first year production always seems a bit low ,then as demand builds they suddenly are able to produce quite a lot .
A cynical person may think it is a deliberate tactic .
Agree totally.A cynical person may think it is a deliberate tactic .
It’s part of the marketing process, to tease with limited availability. But more allocations inevitably tend to filter through during the second year of production.
It’s happened with past GT3, GT4 and Spyders.

Seems like now they only know when the first 2 or 3 cars are coming and have no information when they will get any more. I haven't even enquired about one but when I saw the Sales Exec I deal with recently he said they have no clue when they were getting any more cars...which clearly nobody believes..I am sure people think they are being fobbed off.
