Hi Paul. Long time.

Loved that F430 but I’d like to go manual if I did it again.

Just collected the 991. Very fast. Amazing noise. Will need some racey top mounts and Manthey geo. What a car though…such presence

Such a good car, and that colour really pops in daylight.

They really are sublime.

A nice example has just appeared at Alexanders...

991 RS front top mounts get you more camber, had them put on mine.

Great colour choice Geoff, need to get mine run in too but Cup2s are not too cold weather friendly

As a point of reference for the price monitors, I’ve just bought a late 2017 991.2 GT3 PDK Clubsport with 9k miles for £145k.

Lift. PCCB’s and other stitching stuff that throbbers like Av185 would like but I have already forgotten.

Hopefully collecting tomorrow.

Have just booked onto Silverstone for April 11th and also the Manthey day in May at the ‘ring.

Classicline are the insurers and the ‘ring just carries an extra cost of £200’ish extra for the day.

Congratulations - makes me feel better about spending a similar amount of money

Looks great blue/silver/PCCBs

Thank you!

With the 996 and 7, it just depends which one needs a run out and track dependant. If a Euro trackday, then the 997 as it's LHD ...and the 7 is better suited, I find, to longer legged circuits like Silverstone or Brands GP. Prefer the 6 on the smaller tracks like Oulton, Cadwell, Donny.

Really looking forward to seeing how the 991 feels. Have the 'ring and Silverstone coming up soon...not used a PDK porker on circuit before.
Arrr yes, a LHD GT3 in your collection makes perfect sense. Love a 90L tank.

Last week I bought a 992 GT3 manual in crayon from my local Belfast OPC. It's quite a long and boring story to get to this point but, in summary, made the decision to buy a P car about 6 weeks ago, ruled out a GT4/Spyder because of cabin space (they are fairly good for legroom but I'm 6'5"), seriously considered a one owner white 991.1 GT3 RS on SOR at Nottingham, thought I'd just check with my local OPC DP before booking flights to view and he mentioned the crayon that would be coming in. It was a bit over my initial budget but I can make it work. The manual gearbox is purely coincidental - not something that I was actively seeking, but not bothered by it either. Planning to keep the R8V10 for the time being so will be interesting to see how it goes with both cars over the summer and how I get on the manual on typical Co. Antrim drives here. Not going to post price paid here in public but if anyone is interested or GT3 price tracking, just drop me a PM and I'll happily provide.

Car is currently being serviced, new tyres going on Tuesday and passenger window coming from EU due to a fracture. It's a known problem discussed on RL - the window can become loose from the fastenings and move back. When you open the door the window automatically drops moving it closer to the rear quarter window, then when you close it's glass on glass contact. Sometimes the side window breaks, sometimes the quarter window breaks.

Ordered a Grello cover and planning on collection next Friday. I'd love to come over for the NBS cotswold meet, now that the number restriction is lifted, not sure yet if I can get away from home for some personal reasons.

Thanks to RSVP911 & Taffy66 for their private correspondence over the last few weeks. I went in a completely different direction in the end. biggrin

Great car congrats, brilliant colour. As you say, top team at RPM, pleasure to deal with. I also saw on IG that they sold a black 991.2 manual which was shown with your car - do you know how many miles that had / what it went for ? Thanks smile

Brilliant - I have to say, I think it’s the nicest colour I’ve ever had on a car, I’m so pleased with it and I think it works really well on the 992 as as you loose some of that 992 bulk / plastic. It can go from a deep rich purple in normal light to virtually black and then really pops when proper light hits it. Enjoy smile
