That Brewster green is a hideous colour imo someone clearly is prepared to pay through the nose for an army special colour but this merely reinforces how crazy the market still is atm. hehe

Just because that's what they were asking doesn't mean they achieved anywhere near that. This similar specced and delivery mile example from an OPC is listed at £114k. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210120...

How is this example worth £16k more?
That has been up for sale for months it’s listed for under £110k on opc site?
This is better example for £40k less https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/14830153.
Yes it’s lacking in a few leather bits but we’re not 997 GT3rs built with out a leather dash etc?
Nicer colour too!
And a few months difference in age is not a good enough argument (ie twice as old! Really!)

Looks a nice car, at around list price.

There’s now 27 used 718 gt4 cars on the Porsche used car site alone, I don’t recall seeing that many for sale in there before. Be interested to know what new fun cars ex 718 gt4 moving into?

991 GT3 prices seem to still be holding up. When I was looking in late 2019 there were quite a few .1’s (non white!) in the £95-100K bracket. Doesn’t look the same today on auto trader. Looks like you have to pay 100-110k for a decent spec sub 20k miles car.

I paid £96k for an 8k miles car (non white, they are always cheaper!) in Jan 2020. You can’t buy that car now, for that price…….

I’m not planning on selling, therefore value is irrelevant outside of this thread, but I was prepared to lose £10k / pa as I value the ownership experience. Therefore I am c.£30k up, if my man maths is correct!

Bet the new owner now thinks its worth £140k wink
£160k
Most also own a 718 Gt4 that he thinks is worth £120k;)
Or in the case of this one which just sold for c£130k.

I know for a fact that the Brewster green car did sell for virtually the original asking price.
Regarding the similar spec car at an OPC listed £16k less- it’s not really similar spec at all when it’s
a standard colour ……. PTS option was £7000.
Personally I would not be interested in a gentian blue GT4.
However I’d love a PTS GT4- so I guess taking into account the demand/supply there are without doubt buyers willing to pay big overs for the correct car.

Yeh ok that’s a bit like me saying I know for a fact it sold for a lot less or it didn’t sell at all and was taken back by the owner!
Too many dealers/flippers have infiltrated what was once a good forum lol!

Agree the 991.1 gt3 seem to have held well around 100k retail and very few for sale.

Be hard pushed to buy a cs low owner / low mileage car for less than 100k at the moment.

Doesn’t shock me, there always seems to be a good supply of used 718 gt4 cars available. This must be due to the higher build numbers.

Either way great car and will allow more buyers to enjoy at a lower price.

I sold mine a couple of months ago for 108,250 - i dont think there is anything better that can match it for that 100/110k bracket.

Agree these appear a great buy around 100k mark.

So…crystal ball time! Where do we think prices are now? Bottoming out or further drops?

I have a 991.2T and just passed on a new Carrera T allocation (despite not really liking the 718 GT4 I had briefly) I have a serious GT3 itch that needs scratched.

My circumstances are a bit odd as I’m in recovery after an accident which I’m only half way through so I can buy now or wait until winter.

Obviously no one really knows but opinions appreciated! I want comfort spec and PDK for the reasons above if that makes any difference.

Decent 991.1 comfort cars have been sitting around £100k for a good few years (see posts above). There will be the odd anomaly I’m sure, and cars with over 20k miles. But £100k seems about right, and probably will be the same for winter 2023, +\- 5%.

991.2 you might find something sensible (comfort / PDK) for around £120k (see recent JZM car) but these are few and far between. That car also had 20k miles from memory and was low spec. Again can’t see prices moving much between now and winter 2023 +\-5%.

If you see something you like, buy and enjoy, it’s not an investment! What price for the ownership experience? Such great cars, good luck with the search.

I have a comfort spec pdk car and am being offered 115-121k but can’t find anything I like to replace it with .
But market is odd .
Cars will be cheaper in winter for sure ,

I bought mine 2 years ago from Porsche Chester thinking i was buying at totally the wrong time but realised i just needed to get in one. Nearly two years later i sold it for just over a grand less than i paid for it - you cant predict the future so just buy one and enjoy it. The rising interest rates (should be another on Thursday) surely point toward a fall as less and less people are prepared to pay circa 10% rates on 6 figure cars, this winter coming i would assume would see a fall after the summer hype and silly rates. However as above, when i bought i thought i was buying at the wrong time and prices had to fall...
