Well i did it. After selling my 991.2 S a few weeks ago, yesterday I finally realised the dream of owning a 3-pedal GT3.
The car is phenomenal! I will probably double the existing mileage before it gets parked up for winter.

If you can afford it, I think running a GT3 and S2 Exige would be a great combo. I had an S1 Elise and it showed up my GT4 in several aspects, although both provide brilliant driving experiences in different ways.fistenburger said:

Ok so this is probably out of line and shouldn't be asked and my apologies in advance but could i ask what sort of percentage ( rather than just ask what did you get ) after it was sold to mid sussex ? ... I appreciate dealers have to make a profit and you sell at a reduced rate perhaps for the ease of sale or perhaps the curious methodology of the dealer networks and how they offer cars but I was curious as to what the charges would be for a SOR or a dealer ( or rather which one took more ) . To be honest I just wanting to find out where to pitch an offer again my apologies for asking but a rough guide would be great thanks
I think the general rule of thumb is there will be at least a £10k (+ VAT) mark up by a main dealer ignoring any refurbishment/replacement costs. An OPC has to put a warranty on it and will need to make sure it complies with Porsche approved used car minimum standards.
There is a continued shortage of used stock at OPCs and some dealers are cutting their normal margins on 911s and GT cars to get used stock as they will work on the basis they'll finance the car on resale and get finance commission etc. A friend found this out with a 992 C4S he was selling last month.
I'd be reluctant to have a GT3 on SOR as it could be sat at a dealers for a longer time as they may put an unrealistic price on it as they're not paying a finance charge for stocking it as it still belongs to the customer - an OPC will also want the car to be as near 100% condition for sale (at your expense). Do you also want your car being test driven by unknown parties in all weathers if you've kept it in a warm garage & not driven it in the wet (& they often have them sat outside being washed by someone who isn't a "detailer")?

Av's right on the pricing. However, extracting the right amount of that value for yourself is something else. You can try SOR of course, but they'll want a decent chunk as commission.
I sold my .2 manual GT3 to Sytner (Mid Sussex) - they offered a lot more than every other dealer. It was on at an independent for 142k, for a month.
Sold by Mid Sussex for 147500 in 2 days. Mine had steel wheels and 11000 miles.

thanks for both replies (and replied to DM) and was ballpark where i was thinking but the one point I never thought about was the test driving by unknowns and outside washing I'm sure that would put some off that route of sale ... private sale to a Pher got to be the way to sell ! ( he says hopefully
