Crazy time to buy a 992?

Well I decided to ignore some of the advice and and embrace others. I have put a deposit on a 2019 Aventurine green 992 C2S. Can’t decide if I’m terrified or excited?! ??
Good man... congratulations! I fancy Aventurine too.. probably in a Carrera with a few options (Sports Exhaust / Sport Chrono etc) rather than the S. I'm curious to see if they bring another T out in Q4 however as is rumoured. What kind of lead time have you been quoted on your S?
I say just do it. The C2 is more than you need unless you are racing.
Having said that, at the last Silverstone Porsche Experience I went to, the quickest car was a basic C2 just like mine.
I also say chose your color and forget the rest of the options. Sportex is OK. Sports exhaust, sports chrono? no.
We are 20k down the road together and it just gets better and better.

I have gone for a car with Satin Aurum wheels (satin gold!). A bold choice but the car can look quite dark so the wheels really lifts it, don’t mind peacocking a little bit!
Also I have a Slate Grey/Crayon two-tone interior. I have never had a light interior in any of the 30 or so cars I have had in my life so am a little anxious about that. Seems to really lighten the cabin, will be interesting to see how easy it is to keep clean!

We had a range of 992s, C2s and C2S's. About 10 of them.
The Turbo had just been released and was reserved for the buyers who had ordered them, so that didn't mix with us.
Every other Porsche was also available in the range. Dont remember any 918 GTSs.
The most important factor overall to quick lap times was definitely the driver.
Forget your spasm, pasm, rws, lsds, pse, npse, pccb, pdls+, S/C balloney.
When you are pulling 1.6g in a base model 992 it makes you wonder why you should want any more?

I first started talking to the dealer this time last year, placed order today, delivery this time next year ish.
Great stuff, can you tell me what you have gone for? Did you get any kind of “deal”We are test driving C2s coupe this weekend and the convertible version next Friday, we are looking for the cab, we think and trying to decide between S and non S - is it worth the extra, etc?
It’s going to be a toy, and have been told next April/May (ish).
Got a big birthday next year and looking forward to the process.
It’s been a long time since I had a Cayman S
Entry level with a few bits. It is a winter toy for when the others are sorned. I am a born haggler and never pay list for anything until this.
Told them in return for making me pay I will extract exceptional service, they agreed that was a reasonable expectation.
I also had a significant birthday recently and decided it was time to scratch a 40 year old itch.

I ended up opting for the base model C2. It suited my driving (mostly town based) and it was more than enough power. I sold my 718 Boxster and waiting for the 992 allocation. We are test driving C2s coupe this weekend and the convertible version next Friday, we are looking for the cab, we think and trying to decide between S and non S - is it worth the extra, etc?

What extra bits did you go for? I am thinking sports chrono, sports exhaust, gt wheel, the 2k alloys, power steering, folding mirrors, front ppf and metallic i think.Told them in return for making me pay I will extract exceptional service, they agreed that was a reasonable expectation.

Sports design does look good if you pick the right paint colour. Aero pack has gone missing on the configuration though
(for clarity, im still not 100% getting a 911 but if i do, thats the spec roughly...)
