Interesting how we chose things for different reasons. Deliberately choosing not to have the things you choose to have. Blue, grey, glass roof, full lights, rear wipe, surround view and 14 way seats oh and colour centre caps at stupid money as the sales man convinced my wife.

I was tempted by the sunroof. Dealer pushed me that way as weirdly despite having loved a few convertibles I've had I've never had a car with a sunroof

Ppf on front seems expensive but I hate stone chips

In my opinion it probably makes more sense to buy a new car right now than an old one. Used prices are really high just now and at some point that’s going to undergo a correction.

Disagree on Sport Chrono and PSE - both essential in my opinion to maximise the experience of driving it. You’ll also suffer at resale if you don’t have them.

I say just do it. The C2 is more than you need unless you are racing.

Having said that, at the last Silverstone Porsche Experience I went to, the quickest car was a basic C2 just like mine.

I also say chose your color and forget the rest of the options. Sportex is OK. Sports exhaust, sports chrono? no.

We are 20k down the road together and it just gets better and better.

I ordered a 992 cabriolet at the end of jan and was told it would be a May build , now continues to move and now is an august build and will get in Sept ….. taking history into account I have my doubts . The local dealer has a show room full of classic cars and little used stock , which sells for only a bit below list price !
So best to wait and wait it will come eventually in time for winter !

I have gone for a car with Satin Aurum wheels (satin gold!). A bold choice but the car can look quite dark so the wheels really lifts it, don’t mind peacocking a little bit!

Also I have a Slate Grey/Crayon two-tone interior. I have never had a light interior in any of the 30 or so cars I have had in my life so am a little anxious about that. Seems to really lighten the cabin, will be interesting to see how easy it is to keep clean!
Congratulations on the purchase your gonna love it! And I have the crayon interior in my Panamera and it’s been great, not had any issues with stains or jeans leaving marks on it!

I totally disagree with that statement disagreeing with me!. Lose more value? Really? That sounds like pub talk.

My car at 18 months old, had about 18,000 miles on it when Porsche offered to buy it back from me at the price I paid in 2020 new. That is just about zero depreciation.

My Base 911 has been the cheapest car I have owned on that score, apart from also being the quickest.

The standard exhaust is a sports exhaust and it sounds great. Porsche offer you PSE for a price. Not only is it £2,054 but also you forgo cost of the standard exhaust you never received in the first place. Crazy.

Sports Chrono gives you nobs to twist for the settings.
This is more of a novelty than anything for part throttle openings. OK you forgo launch control but who cares? The standard car gets to 60 plenty quick enough, my dragy app says 3.6 seconds to 60.

I hardly ever get the chance to floor the throttle, so why do I want any more? Yesterday I cam back from the Festival of Speed 220 miles and never got the chance to floor it once, Maybe if I was on the track with it? Even then, at the last Silverstone session I went to a pov. spec Carrera like mine whipped everyone elses asses, mainly because the guy driving it know what he was doing.

Full throttle on a non S/C car overrides everything and gives you full beans anyway. How can it possibly be a good idea to put obstacles in the way of obtaining full performance for your car by having to twiddle nobs? Next someone will make you have to press a "Sports Response" button first! Very silly.

I kind of agree with ^^^

Wouldn't bother speccing Sport Chrono again. Would have the exhaust, it is very noticeably louder (which I like very much) when the valves are open. Or maybe I'd go aftermarket exhaust, but then warranty blah blah blah.

You really don't need a lot of extras on these cars, get the colour you want, stick with Sportex with the Sportplus seats and away you go.

Love my BOSE, but I never got to listen to a non-BOSE to see if its really worth it.

Edited: oh, and dont bother with the reversing camera, its useless. £400 odd quid too.
