Thoughts on this spec please, anything obvious missed or unnecessary for that matter ?
Sales guy seemed to suggest fal was a must, it’s not something I’d considered to spec to be honest, wouldn’t have thought leaving that off would make it unsellable or anything. I presumed that was more of a must on a gt3.
Also said that the configurator price excluded the full on the road price, can anyone confirm?

It will be this (I'd assume) as mine has the same;

Yes, this is what I'm having too. Some outfits call it the 'Track Pack', some call it the 'Full Front and extended sills kit'.

Not knowing your budget then hard to say, but for an extra £80 you might want to. consider the Windscreen with grey top-tint option.

Rear steer and maybe the gloss black pack. I wouldn’t spec fal - my drive isn’t steep.

Car came back from Deluxe Car Care in Ascot today. James has done a frankly incredible job on the car! Full track pack PPF and ceramic coating. Looks like a different car!!

looks good, what's track pack PPF, what's the coverage?

How much was it too please?

I notice they haven't put the rear stone guards on, I would ask them to apply some new ones as its a very vulnerable area, hence why the car comes with them!

Ceramic coating im not sold on, had it before on the car without PPF and yes it made it easier to wash for a while, but PPF gives the same ease of washing, I didnt have my current car ceramic coated, just full PPF and washing has been easy, and 4 years later not a mark on the car. That was from Topaz.

My car goes into the paint shop today, so getting excited now, just over a month to wait.
Track pack is as others have suggested, full front end, bumper, bonnet, wings, pillars, side skirts and an extension of the original rear arch protectors. The rear arch protectors are on there but have actually been replaced and enlarged further forward and upto the handle line.

On the ceramic coating, first time I have had it on a car. Yes will
Make it easier to wash and stops tars and the like adhering as easily.

Interestingly, both the aerokit and ceramic brakes were available to spec on the dealerships tablet.

Was he able to take the spec through and generate an order?

I asked my dealer to check the aerokit and Porsche Uk said not going to be available again on 992. Maybe 992.2

I didn’t spec either of those so I’m not sure if it would have generated had they been added. I just know that they are still not on the configurator when looking on home pc so didn’t expect them to be on the sales guys laptop.

Nice spec, based on my time in 992GTSs, I would add RWS, not bother with Lift. Power steering Plus, have you driven a car with this ? Imo it makes it to light at speed. On 991s the OPC used to be able to add or remove this. I would 100% add the Ioniser its not a lot and gives another level of air quality, great if you suffer with Hay fever etc.

Slightly off topic a bit. I’m due to pick up my C4 GTS late July. This may not be the correct topic thread, but I’d be keen to hear what others think about Gap Insurance. My OPC has very nicely tried to sell it to me as I’m sure everyone else who has picked up their new GTS has experienced. However, as soon as you leave the showroom in your new car the value has rocketed upwards from invoice value… maybe £30k depending on actual spec and model of GTS. So surely Gap insurance won’t work if it only brings you back to invoice value, when market value is much higher??

Correct. Also, never buy it from an OPC, you can get much better/cheaper policies elsewhere.

I just had insurance with an agreed value. Not sure how much this affects premiums but seems a no brainer to me.

I would switch the “Porsche” lettering with the crest but each to their own.

I added FAL originally as I thought I scuffed the lip a few times, sales guy went out to see my S with the -10mm and its virtually mark free and its the silly vertical flaps in front of the front wheel which touch first. I have a less than flat drive and its been fine so saved the money for more fun stuff.

I’d add the race-tex on the headlining (especially without a sunroof) and the visors to complete the other options you’ve gone with. I also like the RWS on the 992’s and add the surround camera’s with those centre lock wheels! It’s a wide car so you can get close to the curb without the stress….

That’s the one thing, especially this summer i should have added is the ioniser, the pollen filter is pretty good but I’d like liked to have tried it out. I’ve dropped the power plus bit this time, doubt I’ll miss it and the GTS needs that’s pure weight.

I would add Roof lining in Race-Tex. which gives you the A B and C pillars in race tex too. The Standard lining looks awfully cheap for what is a £100K plus car.
plus get the Belt outlet trims in Race-Tex and Sun visors in Race-Tex to round it all off.
The total being 0.855 of the car price.
