Thanks for all the input on the spec, some food for thought that I hadn’t previously considered. Can anyone confirm that total price on configurator is OTR?

The total recommended price won't include road fund licence (UK) and you may be offered Gap insurance direct from the dealer on top of this. Both of which I let the dealer do which added about 2k to get the car road legal and ready for me.
Bear in mind the first years tax is significantly higher than subsequent amounts.

Slightly off topic a bit. I’m due to pick up my C4 GTS late July. This may not be the correct topic thread, but I’d be keen to hear what others think about Gap Insurance. My OPC has very nicely tried to sell it to me as I’m sure everyone else who has picked up their new GTS has experienced. However, as soon as you leave the showroom in your new car the value has rocketed upwards from invoice value… maybe £30k depending on actual spec and model of GTS. So surely Gap insurance won’t work if it only brings you back to invoice value, when market value is much higher??
Surely the overs can’t last much longer on these though.

It’s economics 101 supply and demand - everyone wants one but can’t get one. Until the supply of new GTSs ramps up (probably not for quite some time), then I think market values will hold. Anyone wanting one now is looking at well into 2023 before the car arrives

yes, the configurator excludes it. On my spec that i did last month it added £2,070 to the final price which confusingly the OPC calls a "dealer fitted options" but is actually the road tax etc to get it on the road. It's broken down later in the invoice as Road tax £2,015 and First reg fee £55

sorry that was a bit confusing. So my total price on the configurator was like £129k and the price on the invoice is £131k due to the addition of road tax and first reg fee

Makes perfect sense, thanks.

Last week I was at Silverstone doing a full day Track Day on my bike, it was a great day and it was the full GP circuit. smile

Anyway, during the day I had to get some fuel a couple of times at the on-site Gulf petrol station. Whilst there, a couple of 911's turned up from the PEC to fill up also. Next to my pump was a 992 Targa GTS and I spotted it had Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. So it looks like some cars might be coming with those now alongside the Pirelli and Goodyear we're used to seeing on the 992s.

Seeing the interior with the all new dash, would there be a 2023 model for the GTS with newer changes if any?

Maybe but the PEC get through a lot of tyres on their fleet at Silverstone.

Yes, this thought did cross my mind as well. Perhaps it is that and then they've replaced with the MPS4S's.

I just had a play with the configurator. I noticed a couple of nice looking extra colour options - arctic grey and ice grey.
And redid my current spec and sure it’s about £4k more…

Are people who have ordered but not had an allocation still getting their old price being honoured?

Nope. I was told after the last increase that the original price is honoured only if you don’t get a new model year New model year means full current price whenever your order went in. Great seeing as I’m still waiting for an allocation.

In the same boat. Doesn't look like they have added any options into the increased price.

You can't have expected them to right?
