How would you spec your 992 GTS?

I think the extra increase in the cost of the Matt carbon pack from £500 to £2k is mathematical anomaly o allow for the deviated stitching,
The GTS interior is same as the extended leather / Race-Tex interior but with deviated stitching, dials in crayon or red and carbon pack
Gts interior cost is 4781 as a package
Extended leather / Race tex interior is £2811, add deviated stitching at £2189, belts in red / crayon at £312, dials at £490 and carbon pack £506
you then get the same as a GTS pack at a cost of £6308
Why they have not offered it as a pack is bizarre but that is ho wi see it.
So if you are want deviated stitching and are happy with a choice of crayon or red go GTS pack.
If you dont want deviated stitching and are happy with all black save £2k and get Extended Leather / race Tex and carbon pack
If you want deviated stitching in any other colour than crayon or red you need to pay £6308 (or £5818 excluding dials) and you cab get any colour you want form the range .
But as I see it all options will look same , just crayon and red will stand out more

if you register on here with your email the dealer has, it shows in the my porsche bit in the top right.
https://my.porsche.com/core/gb/en_GB/home
Thank you. That was easy. https://my.porsche.com/core/gb/en_GB/home
My ‘My Porsche’ account is linked to another email address, so I’ve never seen it. Pretty cool. Slightly odd and poor my Porsche UK support told me today that this service wasn’t available with my model…
I’m now in the ‘Final steps before delivery’ 5/5.
You also get to see a handful of images of your car on the production line and one hi res completed image of it (5500px wide).

Just wanted to ask whether anyone else has had their order delayed in recent weeks?
My car was built just before Christmas, but has had a block on it since. I've just found out the blocking code is in relation to tyre pressure monitoring, due to semiconductor shortages. I presume a standard part that will be shared on all Porsches, that they must have run out of for a short period of time.
I thought I'd ask whether anyone else on here has experienced or heard of this? I presume they now have to deal with the backlog and fit the component?
The wait is starting to drag on, although it's only been a few weeks. It's a pain knowing it's all built and sat in a factory.
First world problems hey...perhaps I just need to chill out knowing it will be here eventually!

Went and had a sneaky look at my car at the dealership recently. I’ve decided to wait until the 1st March to pick it up to get the new registration.
Pretty over the moon with it. One thing I have learned is Crayon never comes off correctly in photos. It’s way more grey in the flesh.
I’m actually the original poster of this thread - great to see what a wealth of knowledge has been shared by everyone.
Can’t wait to pick it up in a few weeks!

Congrats Oli on the new car. What is the spec of that as it looks great
Here it is (minus the aerokit which gets removed from the configurator): http://www.porsche-code.com/PNXRK193

Great to see another Manual out there I was feeling pretty lonely with mine but word of warning, I’ve had mine 2 months and approaching 2500miles !!!!! It’s very addictive hahaha
Looks great ENJOY bud
Thanks man. Looks great ENJOY bud
I pondered over PDK or manual for a short while (my original order was for PDK), but I know for me it will make the car more enjoyable and special. I don’t do much city driving - mostly country roads.
How is the manual box? It felt pretty sweet when I had a wiggle the other day.

worth waiting for the 22 plate,
first one i have seen with racetex-extended leather, looks better than the coloured parts more sport looking
I just didn’t want the crayon dials or belts. And my mrs preferred the cleaner look of the plain stitching. In the flesh it looks really subtle but there are lovely textures all over the place and the stitching is still very visible. first one i have seen with racetex-extended leather, looks better than the coloured parts more sport looking

I do some town driving as well and often ( last night ) get stuck in central London grid lock but having had 2 F-types over the last 5 years with Padel’s there was no way I was gonna miss the chance to get a Manual again .!! Not been one minute of driving that I have regretted it, it’s lovely haha..
It’s a great box but to be fair I’ve not had a great deal recently to compare it with , I had a loaner of a 4.0 Gts cayman last year in manual and this feels much better , tighter and more precise , still too long in the gears but I can live with that ..
You will not regret it bud ..
Thank you for this. It’s made me more excited than ever about going manual. I'm also a manual, but a cabrio A Must for me, dont enjoy PDK's/DCT's etc. Wife's M4 has it and it just gets it wrong, and even in manual mode, just not the same. Drove a manual at PEC 2 weeks ago, really lovely
Dealer called me on Friday, order still on track, comes into the country on 25th March, delivery to me soon as possible after, maybe a week or so?
Gentian Blue, Truffle interior, brown roof, silver RS Spyders, can't wait!
Have you driven a PDK? Imho, having owned two F80 M3’s (the first and LCI model), the PDK is much nicer than the BMW dual clutch. It feels way more mechanical. And faster. But I still can’t wait for the manual having had a load of dual clutch cars recently.

Bloody lovely! What interior trim is that?
Thanks diffstar. It’s the ‘Race-Tex interior package with extensive items in leather’ and the carbon interior.
It’s essentially the same as the GTS interior package, minus the accent stitching, coloured seatbelts and dials, which I didn’t want.

Still no aero kit on the configurator? Is this only showing up in dealers version?
Apparently so. Historically, once the aerokit components had been depleted per model year, it was no longer available to spec. Perhaps Porsche have decided to do another run of aerokits due to the popularly of the GTS.

I think Race Tex with extensive leather is a fantastic option. Does the extensive leather aspect, mean you get more leather/areas covered than if you just chose leather seats. I basically hate seeing plastic on a 911, so want to avoid that whererever possible.
Speccing that gets you all the leather and race tex. Full leather dash, leather and race tex door cards etc. No plastic in sight. Corkys said:
Thanks, seeing that I am optioning the glass sunroof I won’t have much roof lining, it seems an expensive option for something I never thought to be a problem, same with the sun visors. I don’t mind them being cloth.
But if anyone has any experience with either being racetex/alcantara please let me know.
I thought they were more plastic/vinyl on the older cars? I’ve just sold my 991.2 that had alcantara roof lining but not sun visors. I’ve specced both to be racetex on my new one. But if anyone has any experience with either being racetex/alcantara please let me know.
