They don’t really need much - May I ask if you have had rear steer before and if not why you are trying it now?

Very nice. You don't see people opting for Interior Package painted in Exterior Colour - nice option that with the red.

Does anyone have experience of both GTS and Turbo S 992s? I’d be interested in views re driving dynamics rather than spec/comfort etc.
I had a 992 Turbo S before my current 992 GTS. I prefer the GTS. The Turbo S is so brutally fast that it is impossible to even slightly push the car on the road. It's silly fast, and once that novelty has worn off, which it did quickly, the Turbo S, although just as comfortable as the GTS, is not much fun.
The power of the GTS is much more natural.
It also helps that my GTS is 2wd and a manual.

Loving my targa gts but I was annoyed to see that the LED Porsche logo projection has only been applied to the driver side. Is this normal ? Surely, it should be on both sides ? Is this the Porsche way ?

If you mean the 'puddle lamp lights' then yes - I think they should be on both sides. They're on all four of my Macan's doors anyway.

Thanks. Would you say the grip, turn in and balance are much different too? And braking?

There's a new 992 GTS for sale in the showroom at OPC Hatfield, looks to be list price although I could be wrong. Appears to be a quite high spec. Blue with Aerokit. Luckily it doesn't have PCCB so I don't want to pretend I can afford it.

Can't see it on Porsche or Hatfiled websites.

Hi Dan, this doesn't seem right. Mine has the Porsche logo projection on both sides, driver and passenger door.

Any thoughts on the spec (interior especially) of this car? It's not how I would configure a GTS personally but I'm thinking of the same wheels and interior combo on my base Carrera order.. either in GT Silver or Aventurine.

Very nice. Out of curiosity, you weren't tempted by the 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design Targa?
Not a fan of black to be honest. So no.

I think you have fault there Dan, should be on both sides.

The GTS feels lighter, and more agile - although I'm not sure if that is because the GTS is 2wd compared to the Turbo S. The GTS does not need 4wd, there's a lovely balance.
The outright grip at road speeds feels similar, and the GTS brakes beautifully, as does the Turbo S.
The front end grip in both cars is immense. It's hard to judge turn in between the cars as both simply turn, although the 2wd car has a little more feel.
I think turn in can often be confused with steering rack speed, rather than front grip, and in both regards the cars are similar.

nope. never had it before. The longer wheelbase and availability plus the GT3 has it makes me wanna try.

I drove Mazda 929 with 4-wheel-steering in 1995, it was an amazing vehicle. For 911 I will stick to 2WS and 2WD

Thanks. I’ve contacted the dealer and should hear back soon. It seems the lights on the passenger side just aren’t working.

Seems to be the big divider on 992
And that no right or wrong just whether a more traditional rwd experience preferred
I’m leaning towards speccing as enjoyed the car on test drive which had it
That said I haven’t had a decent drive of a 992 without

One thing my 992 gts has is normal standard manual seats. Quite happy with that, a/ they are very comfortable and b/ you can adjust them way faster than if they were electric.

Very practical for kids to access back seats for instance.

Not sure what the general consensus is on that front but pretty happy with that choice (or having missed optional 14/18 way thinggies)
