Many thanks for your help and good to know. I am actually in no rush and early 2024 is ok and I don't say that so I think I'll get a dot 2. My spec is pretty much there, it is just trying to make sure I have interior leather right as I want leather dash, but not to go to crazy. My old 8 series had this so I think it would be a bit down market after that. I am also probably going to go with factory ppf as I have read on the PC forum non-factory can be an insurance modification issue. Here is the current spec: https://cc.porsche.com/icc/ccCall.do?userID=EG&amp...
GT silver and red roof is a great combination. Nice spec - my only comment is surround view is handy if you do a lot of kerbside parking

I have optioned Remote Parkassist and I am sure it has it in:

- 3D Surround View

If you try to add Parkassit as an option it wants to delete the more expensive Remoteassist.

Ah yes, didn't spot that. That's a top build!

I can't help myself! I have got so used to having specs how I want them, but especially with Porsche the price jumps ramp up rapidly. Also EU price rise due soon (source PFF DEU), so UK will follow suit with around 4 to 6% and definitely before delivery in early 2024. Having had a 8 Series that had everything I can't come down, although the lack of a head up display does annoy me a bit, as I rarely look at the normal dials in my occasionally used BMW M135i (daily is a bicycle). The cruise control stalk also does not seem as intuitive and ergonomically sensible in the 911 as BMWs OS 7 on the steering wheel. At least the depreciation on a 911 should not be as wicked as BMW, but I am still working on around 60% UK MRP retained value after 3 years so the biggest cost to motoring in new cars still bites very hard. The long wait is actually making the process more mentally valuable, anything achieved or obtained easily is often forgotten about quickly, so when it finally arrives it should be the best motoring day of by then my 47 years of driving, or was having a £550 850cc Mini first car that!

I’ve optioned the racetex with extended leather which is essentially the GTS interior without the carmine / crayon stitching, rev counter, chrono clock and also the carbon inserts, the reason being is I’m not fussed on the carbon or coloured stitching and wanted to spec guards red clocks - luckily the dealer had a Miami blue car in with this interior option (without guards clocks) and it looked great.
I have heard that some insurers are being a bit awkward regarding PPF but this isn’t something I’m having installed so not a concern.
Is there anything that you didn't choose on the spec? smile Looks amazing.

Is anyone awaiting a GTS allocation? Ordered in Jan 2023 and told Q3/4 2024 for delivery, but I wonder that with the 992.2 due soon, the .2 GTS could be 2025 or even 2026 ??

I ordered Jan 2022, I will be lucky to receive it by July. I think they will still be making 992.1 GTS until middle of next year.
Agree 992.2 GTS probably won’t be released until mid 2025 earliest, more likely 2026.

Evening all, after I placed my deposit in early February 2022 my spec has just been locked in for an April delivery. biggrin
After PTS was confirmed as not available this year for the 992, I went was happy to see Ruby Star Neo make an appearance on the special colour list.
Something to brighten up the North Yorkshire landscape...

After spending what must have been a week of my life going back and forth with the configurator, a trip to my local OPC in Leeds and then the enormous Porsche Centre Amsterdam last week, I reckon I've seen every combination of paint & interior!

I'm probably going to get some feedback for not choosing the GTS interior pack, going against every Porsche dealer telling me not to... but I'm not too fussed about the DNA of a GTS, I wanted to give a nod to the Carrera RS 964 with a leather interior feel of a Turbo and a manual box. Also the centre lock's will be going silver when it's going in for PPF.

Cheers, party

Well done. Indeed that's going to be quite unique up there in NY. Did you see the Leeds 992 Carrera demo? Apparently it's PTS Ruby Star and not Neo.

Plenty GTSs out there on the used network without the GTS package. It works out quite costly at over £5k as it forces you into the carbon pack.

I like your spec. Not over the top but some nice and usable options like the Burmester.

Congratulations and I personally love the colour and spec, I almost went with the full leather interior but finally decided on the race-tex with extended leather as I do quite like a bit of race-tex (albeit with a leather steering wheel).
Mine arrived at the dealer on Saturday and I’ll be picking her up on Monday!

Yes I saw the C2S in PTS Ruby Star, thought it would have looked better with sport design kit and RS wheels. I also have a thing against spoilers being parked up. grumpy
It actually made me take a gamble on Neo, as I think having a brighter tone with the GTS looks would be cracking.

As for the GTS pack, it's essentially the deviated stitching, belts & dial colours + carbon pack, which I think if you were wanting all those things it makes sense.

Got in on a cancelled slot a couple of weeks ago, March build, mid April delivery so I’m told.

Was offered a 4wd from another dealer in January with a similar delivery date.

just make sure you spec the leather dash thats pretty much standard spec on every other 992 - looks gopping without
