Wondering if I will even carry through with my GTS cab order after yesterdays price rises - basically the car will cost me over £140K now - heck of a lot of money for a non GT product - in my mind anyway!

I thought you were based in Germany? Therefore why would your car be existing Sheerness?

Or have you bought the car from a UK OPC?
Yes Germany, but also UK and will permanently live in UK from 2025 so right hand drive and first UK registration so it is always a UK car with DVLA. Sheerness to OPC, then drive all the way back to Bavaria, right past the factory in Zuffenhausen! Did the same in The Netherlands when I worked there, bought the wife a JCW convertible and drove it straight back home and past the VDL factory in Born, 10 k up the road!

Thats why I requested clarity yesterday; if the GTS cab was subject to a £10k increase i would of pulled the plug.

I now see it as offsetting whatever the increase shall be on the T order thats not locked in yet.

Its a fair old hike.

I said I would put deposit on a turbo s cab when the GTS arrived but terrified to see what the code I sent to them has turned into now pricewise; that might not happen now.

Have you got a slot for a 23 MY T? If so it should be on the old pricing. I suppose, using a health dose of man maths, you can maybe make the assumption that you will
Be able to sell the T for a fair chunk more now it’s a lot dearer new when your GTS arrives, thus cost to change isn’t massively different?

No; deposit paid for T but dealer has had zero confirmed build slots as of yet, hence why they confirmed it shall be subject to the price increase.

The GTS cab spec is locked with build date May so its not subject to price increase which I suppose is better as it was about £25k more than the original T cost.

Suppose its like everything else; crying over spilled milk.

Ordering a turbo s cab now means delivery late summer '24 and shall be a 992.2, and at least one further price increase...just gotta suck it up.

So if you select the GTS PASM option (e.g. delete -10) does that setup the car the same as a Carrera S on its standard suspension?
If you’re able to, I’d really urge you to try and drive a car with std GTS -10mm PASM suspension, and the free cost option (1BH) of standard PASM. I drove both, and ended up choosing the standard GTS -10mm PASM. Yes it’s firmer, but I really didn’t like the extra body movement you get with the 1BH option

Ahh the opposite to myself then! My T is awaiting collection by me and GTS potentially will be MY24. If I even proceed with it at all now.

Depends really whether it’s been completely built. Cars are shipped to the port - Emden - even if they have some minor parts missing- to free up space at the factory. If it’s really fully built then it should cross to the UK within a couple of weeks to either Sheerness or Grimsby depending upon where your dealer is. If there are bits missing (like mine had) it may be several weeks longer at Emden. From Sheerness or Grimsby to dealer should be a week or less.
Thanks for the reply!

Based on the photos I received via the app of it being manufactured, its missing the aero spoiler. Hopefully there isn't a big delay.

Since my message on here. On Monday this week I had an update from Porsche to say it was on Vessel. Not sure exactly what that means timeframe wise but hopefully it means it fully built, on the boat and will be here soon haha.

That’s good news and hopefully they fitted the aero foil wing before it was put on the ship. Either way your dealer should hopefully see it this week. Enjoy 😉

My allocation eventually came through, ordered Jan last year, happily still with the MY2023 price rather than the increase one. Sadly aerokit now not available or Racetek sunvisors. Deliver early July if everything goes to plan.

Agree on the looks of the Targa 4GTS, IMO its the best looking of the road 992s outside the Sports Classic. Loved my 992 Targa 4GTS over 14 months, Only downside for me is the handling as in can not fit the -10mm and the 4WDs 992s have to much grip, the 2WDs are more fun and playful, the wind noise on the Targa with the roof down is ok up to around 55mph for around 20 mins then gets to much, and you have to pull over the lower the roof. Based on how good a 992 C2S Cab was to drive have replaced the Targa GTS with a 992 GTS 2WD PDK GTS Cab now, with -10mm option.

Interesting ,how does the ride quality compare with the -10?

Personally I dont have any problem with the -10mm option on any 992, I have had it on a C2S Coupe and Cab and a couple of Turbo S, For me its must have option. On some poor quality roads its bit bouncy when in sport mode but otherwise its fine, provided the PSIs are set to the lower settings, the -10mm gives the cars a much more sporty feel Imo. This was the main reason as to why I went back to a Cab in GTS trim.

Totally agree about the lower tyre pressure settings, I dropped mine down to the comfort pressures and the ride is now much better (imo)

What's happened to the racetex options? Quite a few things are missing on the configurator. My spec got locked down 2 weeks ago with racetex sunvisors and headlining - both are gone now.

I couldn’t even spec Leather ones. Some random things are missing. Getting excited after a long wait, though not as long as it took my Ariel Atom 4 to be delivered, which was almost 3 years.
Worth the wait.

My GTS Cab came with 36/41 Psi, lowering to 29/33 Cold transformed the ride quality......Same as it did on 992Turbo S etc
